We were very happy with our choice of hotel in Mettlach. By the amenities that were at our disposal in the room, you know that you have booked a room with people who are professionals. The breakfast on the outdoor terrace was perfect with quality products. We hope to be back soon! Highly recommended.
We (couple 50+) stayed here for 5 days and enjoyed the lovely room, the great view and the bathroom with the giraffes on the wall! We didn't have to sit on the bed to watch TV, there were 2 big chairs to relax in. We loved the attention to detail. There were extra pillows in different sizes, sanitary napkins, a sowing kit, ear plugs etc. We could make coffee/tea in our own room, or take a drink from the fridge in the guest sitting room. Breakfast was great, a wide variety of bread, cereal, fresh fruit and eggs. We felt right at home.
We stayed one night on a motorcycling holiday. The rooms were great and peaceful but the thing that most impressed me was the staff. We were welcomed into the hotel and nothing was too much bother. A garage was provided for the bikes. Although Monday was rest day for the restaurant, a typed letter arrived at the room advising where to eat. At breakfast there was a written personal "good morning" at our breakfast table and the breakfast lady was delightful - friendly and nothing too much trouble. If in the area again, I should not hesitate to stay again. The town itself was interesting too and pleasant to walk around. The lock gates on the Saar are worth a look.
Hotel/rooms were clean, rooms were quiet, staff were helpful/friendly, check in/out was easy, bags stored on checkout until flight no problem. Breakfast was good with a fair bit of choice and plenty of tea/coffee served to the table. Balcony to enjoy a evening beverage on with 2 Euro beers available from the fridge in the lounge. Overall the price seems fair for the type of hotel.
