What a stroke of luck that both in-laws found accommodation here. For the short time they had, they had rooms across the hall so that visiting each other wasn't a problem. Everything was well taken care of - regardless of whether it was prescriptions or transfers - by the time I could ask, most things had been taken care of. Even though many employees were unavailable due to the bad wave of illness, they always did their best - we could call at any time and always received friendly information - we would say that the two of them felt very comfortable here - we just say THANK YOU

We have a room for one for our 87 year old father Received 3-week short-term care at Haus Schauinsland. We were on site every day and got to know all the employees, who all treated the people in need of care in a very friendly and respectful manner. Our father is not easy, which is due to the illness. Nevertheless, he was treated with a lot of care and, thanks to professional help, was in very good shape. In our experience, the contact between the nursing staff goes far beyond the normal service requirements. The mood in the house is very positive and the care team has one pleasant interaction with each other and with the people being cared for. Far from mass processing and almost familiar. A very big thank you to Ms. Kälber and her team for the excellent care we gave our father knew they were in the best of hands here.
My father came to this nursing home at the age of 92 due to a broken ankle. The first impression of the room: run down and unclean. Despite some physical problems, he was mentally fit, cheerful and independent for his age at this point. Today, after 4 months in this home, he is a shadow of his former self. Neglect has led to anxiety, lack of hydration has led to mental decline. A few points out of many that were not consistent: The bell button was turned off, he couldn't make himself known for the toilet or specific emergencies. His loud cries for help, not the only ones I heard during visits, went unanswered, although they could already be heard as one approached the home. He was wet in bed and the room smelled of urine. Two existing different medication lists were never checked and updated, which is life-threatening for a person with a heart condition. Anyone who is free to choose their nursing home and, like us, is not dependent on short-term accommodation should definitely decide against this nursing home. However, a special thank you goes to a certain male nurse who showed heart with his personal commitment under these extremely difficult conditions. We are eternally grateful to have found a good, new care place for my father, where he will definitely be better looked after, and we hope that the damage suffered can be at least partially reversed.
As a carer for a 96-year-old senior citizen, I placed her in Haus Schauinsland in Pforzheim-Eutingen. She had broken her thigh and had been bedridden and in need of care ever since. She received exemplary care and care in Schauinsland. The staff did a very good job, always friendly and helpful and understanding with the sometimes difficult patient. There was nothing for us to complain about. During our frequent visits, we always found the senior citizen well-groomed and clean. The rooms are bright, some with good views on a south-facing slope. From our point of view, the nursing home is highly recommended.
We were there at the weekend to visit our uncle. When we got there we immediately noticed the acrid, strong smell of urine in the lounge. It was also pretty dirty there, some of the patients/those in need of care were still covered in dirt at 3 o'clock in the afternoon and were totally unkempt in their pajamas. Our uncle, totally distraught, unkempt, smelly, dirty pants, sat down at the dirty table with a watery cold coffee. No drinking, e.g. Water at the table, everything very sweet and heartless. There was only 1 lady on the ward who had no time for people. What I also don't like is that the gentlemen are all on first name terms. Do people no longer have any respect for older people? When we went to uncle's room, the same chaos. Everything was greasy and dirty, no care products in the bathroom, the razor was broken because it was so dirty. No remote control for the television, everything was unbearable and sad for us, so we almost fled soon after because the whole house smelled of urine! These are not conditions for people and we will have to involve certain authorities here. But the main thing is to always increase the care amounts! For what? For unkempt, dirty home residents? Watery, cold coffee? No drinking? Not a bit of comfort and respect? All I can say is ugh. I don't want to accommodate any of my loved ones here. Thank God I'm not the only one who sees this and lists it here. Take care of these people with respect and dignity!
