Da kann Herr Jourdain noch so oft beteuern, wie sehr das Personal sich bemüht: Seit Monaten höre ich von meinem Bekannten, der im Haus Edelberg lebt, nur Beschwerden. Er werde nicht regelmäßig geduscht, noch nicht einmal täglich gewaschen. Die Unterwäsche würde deshalb auch nicht regelmäßig gewechselt (kann er selbst alles nicht mehr). Sowieso würde schmutzige Wäsche nicht immer rechtzeitg abgeholt oder zurückgebracht. Teilweise würden Kleidungsstücke sogar nicht mehr zurückkommen. Auch als er einmal krank war, habe er auf seine Medizin drei Tage lang warten müssen. Das Personal könne nicht dauernd beim Arzt anrufen, da er schwer zu erreichen sei. Überdies käme er selten vorbei. Besuch bei Fachärzten? Sehr schwierig. Ein Antrag auf Erhöhung der Pflegestufe sei einfach "verschwunden", er habe nie eine Antwort bekommen. Ich könnte noch mehr schreiben. Ob diese Zustände nur auf einen Mangel an Pflegepersonal beruhen, glaub ich nicht. Die Organisation scheint chaotisch.

Just the name is noble. I went to visit my aunt yesterday and was horrified. The floor in the room was full of dirt under the beds, the bedside table was stuck to it, my aunt didn't have a glass or cup to drink with, the bell was on the floor at the headboard (out of reach), the pillows weren't covered and the bed was generally very dirty. I could go on and on with my lists, unfortunately!! I work in a nursing home myself and I know that it is often understaffed. But nevertheless, that is no excuse for such conditions. Our job is a calling and if you can no longer work with heart, you should think about changing!! I also wondered where the caregivers were in this house. I was there for an hour and no one was in sight. It's a shame for the seniors who "live" there 😞
Unfortunately my contribution to the review of this house has been deleted. So I rewrite it: I absolutely cannot recommend this retirement home or the way in which new people are hired. I had to "run along with 2 employees" there because of a job as an everyday companion. I immediately had wonderful contact with the residents and seniors there in the home. Unfortunately, 2 weeks later, I was rejected by the facility manager, Mr. Jourdan (who didn't even know me). When I asked what was wrong with me, he replied: The employees said I was “unmotivated”. I'm sorry, what? Who hires your employees? Unbelievable!
No star! I feel so sorry for the poor seniors... Understaffed and irresponsible nursing staff! An older lady who was lying in the room opposite my uncle had called for help several times, so I told a nurse who was relatively uninterested and I got the answer “She always does that”. After this statement I was stunned and simply went to the older lady with my mother (my mother already knows her). The older lady then said to us “Oh please, I'm so thirsty and I've been calling all the time” and wanted her drinking bottle, which of course we gave her straight away because she wasn't the one Then I suggested to my mom that she should perhaps move her dresser closer to her bed or put the bottle next to her on the bed. The older lady replied very anxiously, "No, no, then I'll get in trouble" and I was stunned and pissed off again!!! Anyone who treats older people like this should not do this job and should look for a new job!! By the way, there is a smell of urine in the whole hallway and in the rooms. Incredible
Come in, arrive, and feel at home... Here I am human, that sums it up perfectly... My husband is doing very well there, and of course, so am I as a relative... People give their best every day... They work with heart... For every worry, for every problem, there are ears to listen, hands to comfort... Thank you for your daily work... The Reis family
