This review is for the Rehab, and not the senior living. Rehab was fantastic!!! I could not imagine a better run facility. Nursing care, physical therapists, dining staff - all A-Plus! Thank you to your exceptional people who work at Harbors Edge rehab. Maria in admittance, Mike, Sophia, Liz, and Melisa in therapy and the lovely Helen, who made all feel comfortable during a very difficult time. Nurses, aides, Doctors, all wonderful and compassionate in aiding to my recovery. I would highly recommend. I could not have gotten through my recovery without the team work of Harbors Edge.
My parents have been residence at Harbours Edge for the past 4 1/2 years. My father is now in the skilled nursing facility and my mother is still in the independent living. Throughout the time there, they have received wonderful care. During the past Covid time while everybody was impacted, they were extremely careful and kept the residence safe. The staff is wonderful. They are working through some of the challenges that the past years have brought to everyone. This is a great place for independent living, and a very wonderful place for those needing skilled nursing. All of the staff go above and beyond to exceed exceptional care for the residents.
These are the kindest and most caring people in the world and if you have parents or even for you're self, you will be making the best decision.
I would suggest looking elsewhere. Over the years the quality of the food in the dining room has decreased, as well as the training of the dining room staff. Lately, there has been a rapid decline of service all around. I had an interaction with the concierge at the North Building this afternoon that left a really bad taste in my mouth. The concierge admitted that they are understaffed, and have requested management hire more staff. In the interim, prices continually go up and the quality of service to residents go down. 1/22/2023- The general manager had never reached out to me. He had someone from the health center contact me??? At the time of my first review, "Courtney" was the dining room manager. Excellent hire. She really gave it her all. Naturally, she only lasted a few months. I understand that now, the residents only have a choice of two courses. The used to be entitled to an appetizer, main course and dessert. 5/10/2023- General Manager still unresponsive. He must know there is a problem. 6/14/2023- Still waiting for the general manager to get back to me.
