I would like to share the experience that one of my consumers and staff had at Harbor Village Rehabilitation and nursing center. At first I was skeptical, very skeptical about having. someone there because the reviews were not as positive a few years ago. But the Admitting Director( Rich ) and his Team allowed me to view the facility after expressing that I did not want one of my consumers or one of my patients there. Once I was able to visit and my staff was able to visit see the care that goes into and from so many long term employees filled my heart. They have been everything that they said that they have things of course start off rocky. on a weekend admit. to any hospital facility or even coming home Now I can say and I will recommend that because the love and the dedication that went into each person and from each employee I have to give the best review. Thank you very much to everyone in this facility at Harbor Village rehabilitation and nursing center Me and my staff and my consumers have felt the care that you have given and Administered. Rich.... A heart felt Thank you; The Teams; The Staff for all that you assured.

I came here around 2 years ago in rough shape, I had been in and out of the hospital and needed to work hard to change my life choices or else I would not make it. I was weak, falling a lot and in pain daily. My mental health was also not good. Today I can honestly say Harbor Village has saved my life and given me the chance to move into a place of my own. The therapy department is great! The Nurses and Behavioral health team personally took me under their wings, giving me goals and setting boundaries that helped me change into the man I am today. Today I am pain free, walk independently and have learned to manage my health conditions. Thank you to all the staff at Harbor Village for believing in me! Dale
I only gave it one star because I couldn’t post it if I had none. I made the mistake of putting my father in this institution. The first day I went there, he was in a room with 3 other residents. It looked like they just took him off the ambulance and threw him in the bed and walked away. I should have followed my first instinct and took him out of there. But, after spending a considerable amount of time on the phone with a case manager, I decided to give them a chance - big mistake! My father spent most of his time there sedated. He had vascular dementia as a result of a stroke and at times could be difficult, but I just think they drugged him night and day so they didn’t have to deal with him. Anytime I asked the short female doctor how he was doing she said great and he was eating well. That was a lie. They weren’t feeding him. The day I took him out of there a nurse ran to my car with his insulin pen and told me to get him some food because he hadn’t eaten that day. That was at 12:00 p.m. Three days after I moved him from Harbor Village to a better, local nursing facility, he was brought to the hospital with abnormal lab results. The hospital told me that labs had been run at Harbor Village the week prior showing abnormalities and nothing had been done to address this. When I saw my father that night at the hospital with no clothes on, he was skin and bones. His condition was listed as “failure to thrive”. We tried to put the feeding tube that was removed at Harbor Village back in to feed him and hopefully turn what was a dire situation around, but it did no good. My father passed away three weeks later. Please DO NOT put your loved ones in this horrific place. And if they are already there get them out. And believe everything they tell you is happening to them there. Don’t live with the regrets I live with for putting him there and not realizing what was happening until it was too late. Harbor Village should be shut down by the State!
My name is Mary Razzino, I am the sister of Thomas Melhouse one of the patients recently being cared for in your facility. I wanted you to know this has been a very stressful and upsetting situation for me trying to be there for me brother. Brenda Director of Nursing) has been so terrific. It's hard for me to ask or accept help, and to have someone I didnt know helping me cope with serious family issues and be so willing to take the time to do so is truly a blessing. My brother is not an easy person to deal with and Brenda helped him on a positive path for the future. I have been so lucky to have gotten Brenda to help him. She is not only professional, but extremely caring and kind. She truly goes out of her way for me and my brother and is so helpful. The situation my brother and I faced was very dark and Brenda came along with that bright light to help us find our way. Your company is so fortunate to have her working there, and that makes me very lucky. I'm more than grateful to have been introduced to Brenda and I really needed you to know how special she is. I am blessed. I can’t close without also letting you know the staff was great and I appreciate all of them. Sincerely, Mary E. Razzino (Sister of Thomas Melhouse)
Tried to discourage us from taking my mother to the hospital . Worst facility you could ever send a relative to. My mother had Mrsa pneumonia and nursing told me and the rest of to e family she’s fine. Luckily we didn’t listen and persistent that she go to the hospital because we knew she wasn’t acting like herself. Nursing doesn’t care about the patients ..
