My father has been residing as a resident of the facility for 2yrs. He complains on how rudely the staff is. I have also experienced rude conduct from the staff here at Guildford House. The director Ms. Barbra is highly rude and disrespectful. She became irate and ill mannered when asking why was my father’s contact information and other forms of documentation changed and or misplaced. My dad constantly complains about staff using inappropriate language towards him such as the term “ nigger” and disrespecting him. My father has dementia which causes him to forget often (especially short term) the staff including director Ms. Barbra feel that he doesn’t need assisted living or special care for his condition. I highly suggest you look for another assisted living facility if you want your love one to be genuinely and properly cared for.
I was looking for a facility with memory care for my mom in October. I reached out to Guilford House. I was called in less than thirty minutes to find out she was approved. It only took two weeks to get her moved in. Everyone on the team was very helpful with whatever I needed. My mom had told me and my brother the staff there is good to her and she is fine and getting use to her new home. I am grateful to God for how he put everything in place especially since we are in a pandemic. Thank you Guilford House for all you do to make my moms transition easy. God bless you all!!! The staff at Guilford House are some very special souls. JC, Barbara, Kimberly, and the rest of the staff are so friendly and welcoming. You cannot ask for a better facility.
My Dad was a resident of memory care unit recently. Staff was very kind and active with the residents while I was there. We were satisfied with the facility and staff. However they literally kicked him. Evidently Ms C doesn't like an involved family that calls, visits and asks questions?? So if your family hasn't received any meds after admission because they are waiting on a dr in a week or so !! Or you ask that the floor be cleaned or mopped because feces in floor of room and youre not sure who did it !?? You cant say nothing or family will be unliked !!! Most likely your family member moved.Sad. Goes to show how one person can control people's life. Extremely Sad.
