In addition to providing me with assistance with daily living activities, she accompanies me on errands outside the home, which has enabled me to continue much of the life was injured by falling. Her flexibility and willingness to relate to new experiences have made a great difference. The Griswold management and office staff are a pleasure to work with, and I have met some other Griswold caregivers, who also seem capable and competent. Working with Griswold Home Care has truly been a pleasure. The company is very professional and their staff are just wonderful! They do an excellent job with our community residents. I've recently recommended Griswold to two friends who are looking for in-home care. Although I haven't needed those services myself (yet), a good friend of mine had caregivers from Griswold during the last months that she was able to live in her home, before she had to go into a nursing facility. She could walk but not drive, so she needed things like rides to chemotherapy, someone to get meals for her, help with showering, and so forth. She liked the caregivers and thought that they did well, which means something because she was not necessarily easy to please. Based on what she has told me, I had no hesitation in recommending Griswold to a friend who has broken her hip and another whose spouse is suffering from dementia.
My wife and I were about to leave on vacation, and we were notified by the assisted living community they were in that my in-laws needed to go to memory care immediately or had to have a caregiver present all day. Seeing as we were scheduled to leave the next day, we had no time to move my in-laws and their two cats (the facility required us to move them due to the cats). We reached out to Patrick at Griswold in a panic thinking we would have to cancel our trip. Patrick worked with his staff, and a competitor, to cover all of the shifts until we got back. The personalized and immediate attention was incredible. Thanks to Griswold, we were able to enjoy our vacation and still make sure my in-laws were taken care of.
