My dad was there for short term rehab. The first room they put him in was filthy and disgusting I had told the nurse I was taking him home and finding a different place on my own. They then offered to move him to the Alzheimer and Dementia unit because it was updated and remodeled they showed me the room and said that it was a locked unit but my dad could leave anytime because he wasn’t there for anything other than rehab. As days came and went I encouraged my dad to go out and go to the Rec room or even go outside where he then told me he wasn’t allowed and if he did go out of the unit even staying in the same facility he has to be tested for Covid each time so he chose to stay in his room. The day before his discharge my dad started acting very weird but they sent him home anyways. The next day I had him back in the ER and he is now hospitalized with bilateral pneumonia and some other health issues. I should have stuck with my gut and took him home that first day he went.

My grandfather was in there for several years. Over the past couple of years the family wasn’t allowed to go visit due to Covid. You know, for “safety”, even though I know a few girls how are out and about all the time…I guess it safe for them to be there around peoples loved ones but not their families??? How convenient for the thieves that work there. I brought my pap home on hospice and when we went to get his belongings we were given a couple of articles of clothing that didn’t even belong to him. No shoes, slippers, sweat shirts just a much of 3x clothing for my med/large size grandfather. No one will answer me or return my calls. I only hope that the people who work there have family that are treated the way my grandfather and his belongings have been treated! Ps. Make sure you get an inventory sheet every time to buy your people anything because there’s a good chance these scum bags are going to steal it!
Beware - horrible place! They recently had a Covid-19 outbreak that was brought in by one of their own irresponsible employees. They are also severely understaffed as indicated by all the “now hiring” signs in the front. When my dad left the facility, he was given clothes belonging to other people staying there since they completely lost track of his and just mixed everything together. He was also worse off (both physically and mentally) than when he went in for rehabilitation. This place is completely unacceptable and should be immediately shut down.
My family and I have nothing but good things to say about Greensburg Care Center. The caring staff-nurses, aides, therapists, and activities gave immeasurably wonderful days to our Uncle Tim. He was there for two years, passing at 91, and it was Home to him. I saw only caring and compassionate people and clean facilities. There is always room for improvement but for our experience... 5 stars and a big Thank You to all for serving our uncle so well during his last years.
Went to visit my mum here, lady at the reception desk was basically wearing her mask under her nose but the signs on the door say to keep your face covered at all times. The check in is a joke with her telling you to just put no across all the questions about covid exposure. Come on people!! There are injured elderly and sick people here that do not need extra complications from covid while they're trying to recover from other things.
