I can’t say enough good things about this place especially the staff. Staff: the nurses, PAs, and support staff have all been amazing. They never seem to be too busy to acknowledge visitors or patients/residence. The nursing staff has been phenomenal. They’ve treated our loved one with dignity and respect. They chat with him and encourage him to get stronger and stay sharp. A noticeable change in just a few days of treatment. Shoutout to everyone in the South Wing, especially to Kate who’s been the best! Location: Google gives you the wrong street to turn on. It’s the turn prior to the one currently shown. Plenty of parking in the lot in front of the entrance. Facility: The facility seems to be renovated but is very welcoming spot. The staff keeps the facility incredibly clean and sanitary/disinfected for the safety of the residents and visitors. There’s a nice view from most of the windows of the trees and surrounding area. The common areas are bright and vibrant. There’s plenty of natural light coming in to most of the wings. Artwork from the residents are on some of the doors and the prints/paintings keep the halls feeling warm. Overall: I’m really impressed with this place. I’ve visited many nursing homes/rehab centers and the people here really put this place in high regard.

Let’s start with the overall rating I see being far too high! My dad was there for rehab. The facility failed to get him to his follow up. That day they said they had no one to take him. Later when asked they said it wasn’t in his chart. Someone was lying. The food was… subpar and portioned for a kindergartner! Oh let’s not forget the day they FORGOT to bring my dad breakfast! His shared bathroom wasn’t cleaned AT ALL in the two long weeks he was there! Now, the ONLY REASON they got any stars at all was some of the staff! There are two ladies named Tammy there, both of them were wonderful! Donald the transporter and the lady that changed my dads dressings we very nice also. No one else even really took time to engage with me as a family member. Now because of a missed follow up, my dad is in another hospital ER (2nd time since leaving here) with more complications from them kissing his follow up. Summary: go somewhere else! Don’t do this to your loved ones!
"I recently had the opportunity to experience the exceptional care at The Greens of Hickory, and I am continually impressed by the level of commitment to quality care and seamless patient transitions. A special shout-out goes to Erica Ferguson and Julie Turner, as well as their entire team, whose professionalism, genuine compassion, and personalized approach make a remarkable difference in the lives of every patient. Their dedication goes beyond routine care—each team member ensures that every patient feels understood, supported, and truly cared for. From managing complex discharges to guiding patients through every step of their recovery, Erica, Julie, and their team consistently demonstrate what it means to deliver care with both excellence and heart. As a proud community partner committed to quality home health care, I am honored to support a facility that upholds such high standards. The Greens of Hickory is a beacon of compassionate, expert care in our community, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking a facility that not only meets but exceeds patient needs."
I only left one star because it would not let me leave 0 stars. I would not wish my worst enemy to stay at this place. If we would not have gotten my dad out of there when we did, I have no doubt he would not be here with us now. They did not move him, did not give him his therapy. He received bed sores while he was there which he has never had before. He went there to get better and came out worse. Thank God my mom knows how to take care of him. These people sure did not!!!!!!!!
The love and care my grandfather receives here is just amazing! From the lady who answers the phone to the nurses caring for him daily! I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place! Shout out to Halley in the business office for helping me understand how this whole process works with long term care and easing my worries and stress!
