I am so saddened to see the low reviews. The only issue we had was it is a little run down but nothing that caused any issues at all! My mother was there for about 2 and a half months. I went to visit multiple times a week and she was always being well cared for. They kept good communication with me about any medication issues, helped with the hospice process, etc. The day she passed everyone was still so sweet and her favorite nurse even came to take a few moments with her himself. Even though she was gone, he pulled the blankets up under her chin and said she didn’t like to be cold. That is the kind of memory that will stay with me always. I knew she was loved and cared for when I could not be there. It takes an amazing person to be able to deal with the complexities of patients at this stage in life and I am so grateful for all of them! Thank you.

My family has had the best experience at this facility greenridge . I was very worried about sendi g my family there after surgery. I called and immediatly I was invited to go . I went that very day and the staff was so polite there was a young man pleasnt to talk with who walked us through the facility very clean and very busy . There were residents in a family room conversating eating and smiling . I walked passed the p.t room and noticed it full with staff and patients all smiling I was in awwh.. I decided to send family there . I am so glad . The staff is so caring and pay close attention to our family memebers that are there made me feel really good about my desision my family stayed for approx one month and I yet can say anything went wrong.. There is a young lady who shined when it came to taking her job to a higher level. She daily went above and beyond to make sure my family member was clean fed pain free happy over all . Her kind and caring demeanor made my family feel like they were in a loving family enviorment. HER NAME IS MS IRENE ((CNA)) . SHE IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST CNA THAT HAS EVER CARED FOR MY FAMILY MEMBER. Since my mom has been at Greenridge she has gotten excellent care! I have seen too many facility’s in the past and they all have certain smells when walking in the building, not here. Here I have noticed the CNA’s take great pride in keeping their patients well groomed and clean with frequent checks on the patients that can not use the bathroom on their own. My mom is completely incontanent and they make sure her diaper stays dry snd clean. I have been caring for my mom at home for many years and it has gotten so difficult. I could never imagine putting my mom anywhere except for home. I feel completely at ease having my mom here! There has been a couple of times issues have arisen because no place is perfect but when I brought the issue to the staff they immediately helped me to get it corrected. One day when I arrived the staff came up to me and thanked me for the nice things I said about them when on a random state inspection nice things were said about them when the inspector went into my moms room. They assumed I said them, the fact is my mom told the inspector how nice they treat her and that she likes it there! My mom has never wanted to go to a facility at all! Knowing she feels safe and at ease here makes me happy! She has had several strokes and is nearly stage 5 kidney disease caring for her has been very overwhelming and difficult I am Grateful to Greenridge!
Medicare gave this place 5 stars, but I will not trust their ratings after this. My mother stayed in Alta Bates Rehab after her stroke in June, and the care she received there was outstanding, so I was expecting a similar experience. The staff - from the administrators, to the nurses, to the social worker - are poor communicators at best, and negligent at worst. I've had to change my mother's diaper on a visit because no one was around to do it. They have a strict policy on mask wearing and testing when it comes to visitors, but I noticed their own staff wearing masks under their noses, even though they were in the middle of a COVID and respiratory illness outbreak. The only time the doctor or administrators contacted me was so they could ask me for information, but I received no information about my mother's well-being or progress during her one week stay. When I decided to get her transferred to Alta Bates, they dragged their feet on sending the referral, and I had to have her discharged because I was so afraid of her contracting COVID as I was getting texts every day about new cases. They sent my mother home without half of her belongings, including two pairs of prescription glasses, and then lied about sending a referral to the home health company that I asked them to contact weeks ago. Maybe they are understaffed. I guess that would explain why I waited for about 15 minutes average on hold every time I called, and why after five days of asking after my mother's belongings they can't locate the items or even give me an answer or just admit that they threw them away. One nurse told me, after I asked her if I could take my mother home, "This isn't a prison." The "inmates", on the other hand, were the only highlight of visiting the place. Each one of them deserves better. My mother was so glad to leave she said, "They tried, but something was really wrong over there. I can't quite figure it out."
My Mother in Law has been at Greenridge for two months now recovering from a severe stroke and receives excellent care by a caring staff. Jazdeep and Livingson, in particular, have always been helpful, upbeat, attentive, and professional in administering their nursing care. During this difficult period in our life, the support and assistance with nursing, therapy (thanks Ivan), and overall medical-related issues has been welcome and much appreciated.
