I can’t understand why I would go back to Bass Pro or Cabela’s when I live near Richmond. You can test out any optic you’d ever think of buying. Endless options on new and used firearms. Hoping to see more Archery as we move through the year. Insane amount of fishing gear on the floor in March. I spend hours here each time. Great prices!!

Good selection of firearms but online stores have a much larger variety and selection of firearms. Better off using an FFL and purchasing online to get what you really want and at better prices. Greentop employees at the gun counter and background check counter could definitely be friendlier and more customer oriented rather than “doing you a favor”. All in all a good sporting goods store that could be even better.
I can’t understand why Greentop has inexperienced employees working on folks rifles when they don’t know what they are doing.brought an upper receiver that needed a barrel swap on 5/1. Kid with long hair charged me $20 to do it all wrong and sent me out the door. Got home and couldn’t install my gas tube on the rifle because the kid didn’t align the milspec barrel nut properly which prevented the gas tube going into the upper receiver…….all I hear is this guy or that guy is a competition shooter @ the ar counter , like what is that even supposed to mean/is that y’all’s way of assuring the customer the job is going to get done correctly on basic build stuff ?it’s all hyped up talk because you’re shopping @ “greentop” …..talk is cheap just do better Greentop
I stopped in on my way home from Suffolk. They had the gun i wanted but it was $70 more than the online price. Didn't realize it was an online price. I asked would you sell it for the online price? Nope he said. So I said fine I will buy it somewhere else. Lost a sale and probably all future sales from me. Updated 3-27-25 I was contacted by Greentop and the issue was taken care of and the shopping experience was great when I returned. I have to give them a great score now because they went out of their way to fix the issue. Thank you Hunter...
So glad I stopped on my trip through the area - even better than big retailers and the prices are excellent. A store for the true outdoorsman who wants real gear and not trinkets. Can’t wait to come back to Green Top!
