Update to my previous comments: Approximately 18 months ago our family made the decision to trust our mother’s care to the staff at Green Acres Wayland …. She passed peacefully a few weeks ago. I cannot THANK the staff enough for the way they cared for her during the last months, and especially the last week or so of her life! The coordination and communication between Green Acres and Hospice was wonderful. It really helped to take the burden off me and my family, given that we live almost 400 miles away. I take great comfort in the realization that at the end she was not alone, and she was surrounded by people that really cared for her and made her well-being their number one priority. I said it before, and I will say it again. Green Acres Wayland took far better care of my mother than we could have. I have absolutely no doubt about that. I stand by my recommendation of their organization to anyone and everyone that needs help caring for a beloved family member. Previous Review: Everyone struggles with the decision to entrust a loved-one to someone else's care ! Our family made the right choice in picking Green Acres Wayland .... The caring and compassion they continue to show for our mother is absolutely unparalleled. We simply could not take care of her needs as well as they can. I would not hesitate to recommend them to everyone !

Green Acres of Wayland has such a good community and staff. Everyone is super nice and caring. When you step in to the building you can tell that it is a space that is very comfortable and assessable.
When we moved our grandma to Green Acres a year and a half ago, we found the facility to be great however, that was short lived. In the time she has been there, her rent has increased by $4,000 but her care has not. In the last 6 months, the cleanliness of the facilty has gone down. Grandma resides in the memory care unit and we pay extra for bathroom care. We have visited on multiple occasions to find feces on the floor and on the toliet. There have been dirty used wipes left above her toliet on her cabinet and kleenex with feces left on her counter. We addressed these issues as they happened with management however we continued to have issues. I reached out to corporate and received a call from the regional, Amber Fry. She told me it was our Grandma's fault for going to the bathroom and not telling anyone. I explained that the feces on the floor and toilet were dried and that means no one had checked on her or the bathroom for many hours. Also, she told me the room was dirty this last time as my husband came to visit at 9:00 a.m. and that was before morning rounds. She stated he just came too early. In addition to her blaming everyone else besides Green Acres, she was sure to correct me when I said "my grandma" that she in fact my husband's grandma. I don't care whose grandma it is, I wouldn't want anyones grandma to pay $9,000 a month to live in feces. In addition to the cleanliness issues, they recommended us to put grandma on hospice 6 weeks ago, which would be a free service to offer more comfort for her. We agreed, however they then increased her cost of care since they have to communicate more with hospice about her now. So yes, hospice is free but that doesn't mean they cannot charge you more for it. We are moving our grandma out of this facility this weekend and I hope they are not taking advantage of or treating others this way.
I got to meet the new administrator and she is absolutely wonderful. She creates such a positive and welcoming atmosphere to the facility. The staff is efficient and reliable. They make the residents feel loved and cared for and they keep the facility very clean. If you're looking for a facility for your loved one, this is the place! I love it here.
As my grandmother got older we knew we needed help caring for her. We looked up and visited several communities before falling in love with green acres. The facility is clean and homey and the staff is just wonderful. The administrator Kalla Anguiano made everything so easy and she has such a wonderful heart when it comes to your loved ones. Thank you to everyone at Green Acres Wayland for giving my grandmother a loving home and us the peace of mind knowing she’s in amazing hands.
