We originally looked at Grandview Terrace a few years ago for both of my parents, but they just weren't ready to make the move from their own home just down the road. After my dad passed away, mom and I revisited GVT and 4 years later it was just as beautiful with the same happy staff. Lexi was such a dream to work with; patient, kind, informative, and a wonderful ambassador to all GVT has to offer. Kevin made us feel right at home the many times we visited to make sure that this was a place that my mom could thrive in. Shani, the decorator, made sure that my mom had all the amenities she wanted in her condo and that it was just as gorgeous as it was when she first viewed it. It was not the perfect view she wanted, but the daylight and openness of the unit makes up for the view part. On a normally stressful moving day, my heart was SO full from all the other residents who stopped into my mom's condo to meet her and welcome her to GVT. Every resident has been so warm and welcoming and they all truly look out for each other. I am grateful for ALL the options my mom has from dining to entertainment to activities to clubs within the building. This will surely make it easier for mom to give up her car whenever she is ready, knowing there is much to do inside and ways to get where she wants to go outside the building. It has been 2 months and she has attended concerts, joined a card playing group, meets in the grand lobby for wine with new friends, enjoys really good meals in the dining room, and is looking forward to meeting with the trainer to join in the gym activities. Not only that, but my mom has actually gotten more mentally sharp and physically better from walking through the corridors and out to her car. Just last week I had the best moment with her so far when I called her. After 3 rings she breathlessly picked up the phone and said "Hi honey, I can't talk right now because Jo (the neighbor women) and I are heading down to listen to a band." THAT is the perfect call to receive as the daughter of a very social mom. I am beyond grateful to all who are there to have helped mom make this important transition and for watching out for her. Now when I visit once a week or so, we can just do fun things together instead of the daughter-honey-do list when she was at home. I hope to find as great a place when its my time.

My parents moved into GVT in 1999, one year after it opened. It has been the best experience in retirement living for them. Although my father passed away in 2015, my mother continues to enjoy independent living at age 98. The accommodations are first class, the amenities are many, and the staff is professional and attentive. There are so many opportunities for residents to get involved, socialize, and be entertained. The campus was recently renovated and continues to provide everything that my mother needs. And if the time comes, the assisted and full care units are right next door and will supply more professional and personal care for mom.
We have been living here at GVT independent living for 6 months and totally love it! The residents are so friendly, the food is consistently delicious, & the exercise programs have been incredibly helpful for my husband!! He has increased his strength & balance and is now very stable. Having left our beautiful golf course home of 20 years in Sun City Grand, we have never looked back. It is a pleasure being here.
We have lived here for over nine months and find every thing to be first class. We were welcomed by not only the employees, but by many of the residents living here. Our condo is spacious at 1535 sq feet. The food is excellent and the three restaurants all provide good seating and the employees who serve you are courteous and very efficient. The exercise program is also outstanding and the classes have really helped me to have much better balance and strength so I no longer need my walker or cane to feel safe. The entertainment is always of excellent quality and frequent. My wife and I looked at many places before moving here and we feel we have made the very best choice. We moved here from a beutiful home on Desrt springs golf course in Sun City Grand and are very happy after the move.
My parents have lived here since 2016. I can’t say enough good things about the place. The people are very caring, the food is delicious (yes really!). Beautiful decor. I love that they have immediate access to EMTs and nurse if needed. Fun activities if they want. My father had to use the memory care and skilled nursing across the street - it was a seamless move and my mom was able to visit him daily. The staff knew them both. I highly recommend this place!
