I am thankful for The Grand living at Tuscan lakes. Stephanie Elkins runs a tight ship in Memory Care. You feel her passion every day you set foot in the Luminations memory care space. The care staff is personable, professional and loving to its residents. This is a place where memory care residents go to LIVE LIFE not simply exist in a day to day routine. Having a parent with dementia is overwhelming with daily heartaches. The Grand experience has given me a partnership to ensure my dad has the best quality of life. It no longer feels like I’m carrying the weight alone and I need to constantly advocate to ensure him quality care. Stephanie and her team have taken on that load and I simply get to visit and enjoy experiences with my dad. As a mom of young kids, the relief and thankfulness for this feels indescribable. The building reflects the hearts of those who run it. It is beautiful and grand and has a resort feel. I love having a clean and beautiful place to spend quality time with my dad. We enjoy walking the grounds and using the facilities together. The residents in every space are active and living their best lives. It’s a great community to be a part of.

This is the second time in as many years that we had a chance to stay in Grand Living, in League City, Texas to visit friends. The exteriors are picturesque while the interiors are well thought out to accommodate older individuals. A variety of activities such as fitness classes, shows and educational events promote wellness and engagement. The meals are savory, and tailored to the needs of aged bodies; they are served with understanding and attention to detail. The staff is knowledgeable, kind and dedicated to the well being of the residents; we are grateful to them for their hospitality and for taking good care of our friends.
I could write a book about how special this place is and how much it has meant to my parents and our entire extended family. We had a list of 6 places to check out, Grand Living was the first. We met Rebecca, who spent 4 hours with us and my parents signed that day! Never went anywhere else. They are an active, 93 yo couple, living independently yet receiving the support they need through a superb facility of loving staff and friendly neighbors. Their apartment is gorgeous and the amenities have made their lives so much happier. No longer are they isolated in their own home without visitors. No longer are they having to arrange for the care and upkeep of their home, or planning meals for themselves. Rebecca continues to be very special to them…..they love her like family! The private dining room was the perfect setting for them to host our extended family at Christmas just like they always have. I live just 5 minutes away and visit them for a cup of coffee often. It’s been the best decision they ever made and I know living there has added years to their lives!
The memory care in Grand Living at Tuscan Lakes has been an incredibly beautiful experience for my mom. The staff is attentive, engaging, warm and respectful. Residents are out and enjoying the days in a lovely, well planned and decorated, homelike environment. The director, Stephanie Elkins, is always present and accessible for residents, staff, and families of residents. She was recommended to me by more than one professional from outside Grand Living while I was searching for a great, not just average or even just good, place for my mom. Stephanie has many years experience and knowledge, plus the heart for these people. She sends pictures to me regularly of mom there and on outings. My mom is happy, has friends, is engaged, and is clean and well dressed right down to her earrings every day. My mom and I, both, could not ask for more, we are both happy.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the outstanding care and unwavering dedication that Stephanie and all the staff at Grand Living Memory Care has shown toward my mother. After undergoing a surgery that was, by all accounts, a death sentence, we were left with little hope. But Stephanie refused to accept that outcome. Through her persistent push, compassionate care, and tireless advocacy, Stephanie played a critical role in my mother’s remarkable recovery. She went above and beyond, ensuring that my mother received the attention, support, and encouragement needed to regain her strength. It was not just her medical knowledge or professional skills that made the difference—it was her deep empathy, determination, and genuine concern for my mother’s well-being that truly set her apart. Stephanie’s efforts did not go unnoticed. She fought for my mother’s recovery when others had given up hope, and because of her, we have been given more time together as a family—something we once thought was impossible. If you or a loved one is in need of memory care, Grand Living is incredibly fortunate to have someone like Stephanie on their team. Her dedication is a testament to the kind of compassionate care that truly changes lives. We as a family unfortunately have two family members with dementia. We have experienced varying levels of care. We are so grateful for Stephanie and her style of care. She treats our mother with respect and dignity that my mother deserves.
