I am FORCED to give at least 1 "star" in order to write this review. Granbury Villa is a HORRIBLE facility to put your loved ones in. If you truly truly LOVE & CARE for your people, your loved ones, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE PLEASE RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! This facility may be sanitary on the "surface." HOWEVER, if you look deeper, you'll find a host of issues. When my loved one was there, I personally overhead staff members making cruel jokes at the patients expense. 98% of the staff employed at Granbury Villa will look you square in your face and be as sweet as can be, but as soon as you're gone, they will speak ill of you or laugh at how stupidly you fell for their kindness. Granbury Villa is nothing more than a nursing home where there is no integrity regarding your loved one. PLEASE, PLEASE READ ALL OF THEIR REVIEWS IN DEPTH! I urge you to find a facility that will care for your loved one with compassion, respect, and kindness. The DON, Andi, even suggested that we over-medicate our loved one. WHO FREAKIN EVEN DOES THAT?? I promise you, you and your family will NOT receive any of that at Granbury Villa. I thank God EVERY DAY that MY LOVED ONE is no longer a patient there! It is my prayer that the Good Lord will direct you and your family to a far better facility than this facility.

This is the most depressing place I have ever seen. My father was only in for a few days and they did not have any orders for him other than oxygen and was sent back to the hospital very sick. He had a roommate in a tiny, awful room with no view of the TV. He was supposed to be there for rehab an hour a day. It’s a nursing home. The nurses and staff look overworked and they hate their life. I wish I had seen it before we chose based on the good reviews. Not sure where these reviews are coming from. So depressing and sad. No private rooms. Please visit before you place a loved one there.
My great-grandma needed somewhere to be helped. She came here, and they have been treating her great. I love all the nurses.
My grandpa recently went here and he was not well, and he came back like a completely different person, this place is awesome!
Updating my review because my last one was 2 years old. This is a CMS rated 5 star facility and the premier facility in Hood county. The facility is staffed well with compassionate and professional employees whose goal is to make the residents stay there the best it can possibly be. The rehab team is a different level of amazing and have exceptional outcomes, the business office manager is an expert at helping you get the most from your benefits, and the activities program is second to none. I can not recommend Granbury Rehab and Nursing more. The only challenge is that the facility has a waiting list because of its excellence.
