*Experience report: Haus am Ostpark* Dementia ward - Verna We are overjoyed and grateful for the exceptional care and support that our grandmother and mother receive in the house at Ostpark. After only 2 months of stay she has made enormous progress: - She can read, speak and walk again. - She enjoys her favorite shows and documentaries. - She seems balanced and satisfied. We as a family are very grateful for the loving and professional care. The nurses are always nice and helpful. The management of the home is very committed and is available to talk to us. We can highly recommend the Haus am Ostpark. Our grandma can spend her final time here in peace and contentment. We always go home with a good feeling and look forward to visiting them again. After 6 months of bad and undignified experiences in another facility in Mainz-K, we were initially skeptical but full of hope and were not disappointed. The house at Ostpark absolutely convinced me and my family. It took less than 4 weeks from registration to moving in. I am grateful for my grandmother's good care and support and can recommend the Haus am Ostpark to anyone who is looking for a good retirement home. We will always be grateful for the last time our grandma and mother had so well with you! They're doing a really great job. Parking spaces available Spacious, beautifully landscaped park Great reception area Beautiful, bright lounge areas and rooms Enjoy your meal Bright, spacious rooms Very clean facility

A facility that can only be recommended. In addition to the very friendly staff, this house is particularly characterized by the beautifully landscaped garden. The varied meals are also worth highlighting.
My mother was there for almost three months before she passed away. Unfortunately, I have to say I can't say very much positive things. If you look for staff, you can't find any, my mother had herself taken to the hospital because, according to the nursing staff, what she had wasn't that bad and you could wait until a doctor was called. In the hospital it turned out that my mother had a urinary tract infection and that this had caused blood poisoning. She was dried out from the inside and swollen from the outside. Those in the hospital had nursed her well again, and as soon as she got back to the home, she was as bloated as before. From the beginning, I gave all the doctor's prescriptions in the home, but unfortunately they didn't really take care of it. What I found worst, however, was that my mother was afraid of some of the staff. She reported to me that she was yelled at. Of course I complained to the station management. Not much had changed. She was downright scared. She had even called her son-in-law and asked if he could come and transfer her to her wheelchair because she wasn't sitting properly and Sue didn't want to call the staff. In this home, as a fat person you are definitely not a second class person, but last class. The one star I have to give is for a nurse about whom my mother only said good things. I regret giving my mother to this home.
My mother was treated miserably and simply left to die. She was simply given sedatives without prior consultation, which is why she fell and fractured her femur. After her stay in the hospital, she was hardly cared for at all. It's very depressing
Unfortunately very disappointing... The 2 stars only go to the house in general, the park is well equipped, you feel comfortable... The rooms are also acceptable. However, there are a few things to complain about, the nursing staff are apparently put under complete pressure, I don't understand why a nursing staff is put under so much pressure that all residents and their work colleagues are under this pressure, so cohesion looks different. Unfortunately, these days almost every professional group is under pressure from employers. On the following topic, due to the pressure that the staff is under, the residents often suffer, there is hardly any time for real CARE, which is what the nursing home specializes in, you are not taken seriously as a relative, you are smeared with honey. However, without attacking the nursing staff, you are doing a great job. However, I would like to see more cohesion, you are not machines that have a specific function....! I don't recommend this house to anyone.
