My cousin, who has been in a wheelchair her whole life, had her toilet replaced with a shorter one that is not ADA compliant. While this doesn't seem like a big deal for those of us who don't have to drop onto the toilet from a wheelchair or pull themselves back up from it, it is a big deal for someone who is disabled. As an RN I know that this puts her at risk for falls. She went to management after waiting a whole week for a different toilet that she thought they'd already ordered, and was told by Ms. Daily who "had a million other things to do" that it would be "some time" before they could get her an ADA compliant toilet ordered. As if her job doesn't involve taking care of a whole building full of people who have to live with disabilities. As if my cousins safety isn't important. I am infuriated and the appropriate authorities have been notified.

Parking could be better, but I do like the fact that they have cameras on all floors, elevators and seem to care about their tenants. It is a clean building (minus the recent pest control problems being reported) and it is smoke free. They have a library, evening events for residents and even a pond. Very location oriented as well. The public transportation bus comes right up to the entrance way and they take the residents to Walmart weekly!
