I am not one to write reviews very often, but I am so grateful for the wonderful staff at 1 South. My Christmas wish was to get to spend Christmas day with my dad. They did everything in their power to make it a success. They helped us get him into our car, lent us the equipment to use while he was in our care, took the time to train us to use the equipment, and helped us get him back into his room safely at the end of the night. My dad has been in good hands during his stay there. Usually nursing homes are smelly and stuffy. This one smells clean and the staff are all so pleasant and cheerful. I am completely impressed with this facility!

I give Good Sherperd Nursing Home ten stars! Every department was so compassionate and caring towards my father. My siblings and I are so grateful for all the wonderful care he recieved. They certainly know what their doing when it comes to dementia. Very well trained. We feel we made the right choice
Went with a friend to visit her husband @ 4pm. . We were able to take him outside to enjoy that beautiful sunshine!! The resident dinning room was decorated for fall...everything was very clean and the staff was right at the front door.. taking temps etc. before you could enter. They were very pleasant and efficient.
My brother was in there for about a month. He got such good care in there from the nurses and the Cnas I want to thank all on second floor, you ladies have earned my respect THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH FOR TAKING CARE OF MY BROTHER (RONALD HUMMEL) HIS SISTER NANCY HUMMEL RATCLIFF YOU ALL KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
So far I love the service my dad receives in here. The shortage of staff and the turnover of staff can sometimes be a problem. My dad has to tell them the meds he gets and when he gets them. I could only imagine if someone couldn't talk, how messed up their meds would be.
