My mom has been browsing various assisted living facilities. She is most certain that Golden Crest is where she wants to spend her 'golden' years. On day one, I called asking if my mother and I could drop by, same day, as we were in the area. I reached Sophie, who identified herself as the nurse. I too am a nurse, so we connected immediately comparing the longevity that we each have in our careers. I was connected to Sherry, the marketing director, who gave the most detailed tour of the facility. She greeted each resident we passed by name, introduced them and inquired how they were doing. The residents truly seem happy, content here. Day two, we returned to meet with Sophie and we met the director, AnneMarie. I was encouraged to take photos of the room we are interested in and common areas. Patrice stopped me in the hall to greet me warmly. Mom mentioned she was hungry but lunch was officially over. However, Sophie went and put together a sandwich, chips and a drink which was perfect and so appreciated. Outside, a few residents and their cute small pups were relaxing in comfy rocking chairs. They were so friendly and introduced themselves and their tiny companions. The friendly and homestyle feel here is so inviting. It does not feel like a chrome and glass jazzy hotel. Those are nice to visit, but this felt like I wanted to 'sit a spell' as we say in the South and sip a cool mint julip drink and ponder times of old, amidst classic beauty architecture and Southern hospitality! The photos on the website do not do the gorgeous place justice. Beauty reminiscent of an era in “Gone with the Wind.” Come visit and see! This was such a pleasant surprise we almost missed. Mom is very excited and that really is the cherry on top. Making the move to assisted living is not an easy thing emotionally. I just know that God directed us here and mom will thrive here. 🙌 We are excited prospective guests. 😊

I’m am so pleased with Goldencrest and it’s employees. I was in a bad position trying to move my father, and they came to our rescue. They went out of there way to get my father moved and settled. Since the move my father is happy and thriving, in a home style environment (see photos), with caring attitudes, I couldn’t have asked for more. Goldencrest is an answer to my prayers, I highly recommend Goldencrest!
I was inquiring of a place for my 82 yr old mother. I filled out the online form on a Sunday. Surprising to me, a staff member contacted me later on in the evening. This process was starting off very, very well and that made me very excited that I found a place for my mother. I believe the staff members name was her Sherry. She was so informative and so inviting so I made an appointment for a tour. Driving in it looks very beautiful with all of the trees however as you drive in you notice that the landscaping is completely, utterly unkemp. I was shocked when I had heard that the prices were from $3,000 to $5,000. I was curious as to what exactly was included in that price, obviously not the landscaping. I was going to turn around and not even show up for the tour but Sherry was so nice and gracious I knew that I should not do that so I decided to stick with the tour the tour was extremely informative I really received very good information regarding respite and how all of that applies I got a very good tour of the rooms and also I was able to get in touch with the ones who actually live there one being one who actually lived there for more than 10 years it was a very very good tour and it seems as if all of the staff seem to genuinely respect and get along with each other which was really important. I asked Sherry about the landscaping and she said that is something that the facility is working as I'm leaving walking to my car there was an elderly woman on a walker she was walking in the parking lot and it appeared as if she almost was about to fall over from all of the leaves being in the parking this was my only from following up regarding placing my mother here my mother would be coming from a 1-acre lot and taking care of a house and the landscaping is very important to her and I know that she would be very anxious being on a property like Golden Crest. This facility needs to do better. This is unacceptable and not even appropriate for the elderly ones who are walking around on your grounds the leaves have not even been blown or the grass cut this is just a matter of getting Uncle Leon to just come over with his mower and just blowing the leaves and cutting the this would be the only reason why I think you should not consider placing your loved one here. This is a beautiful facility with lots of potential and you even have trails that will send you over to the country club. I was very disappointed!
Goldencrest facility as a whole is absolutely the best. I moved my father here 2mos ago and I can truly say he is in a place with people who care. Every staff member no matter the position is nice and accompanying. The professionalism is unmatched. Sherry was the first person I encountered on my tour, she was so friendly and informative. She gave me a detailed tour, and even after my visit she continued to communicate with me about my fathers needs to ensure Goldencrest was the best fit for him. I am truly thankful to her Sherry, Annemarie, Patrice, and Sophie for holding my hand and treating my father like family.
Goldencrest has made this difficult transition for my mother and I so much easier considering I had to move her across the country. They have been patient, supporting, and loving. My mother is truly now at peace and healthier. I recommend Goldencrest to anyone who has had to make the difficult decision to do what’s best for their loved one.
