This place is like a hidden gem in our area. All the staff are extremely caring and attentive, they treat your loved one like family and make their facility feel like home. There was never a day that I didn't see them go above and beyond for their residents. I even had a family friend who is a paramedic tell me that out of all the facilities he's had to go to, this was the best one someone could be at. I am forever grateful for the care they gave my mom in her final months, she was truly happy staying here and loved all the staff. They also didn't just care for my mom, they showed so much care for me and my family, especially in my moms final days. I can honestly say I will miss seeing the staff every day when we would stop by for a visit with my mom.

As a hospice nurse I see patients in most of the local assisted living and long term care facilities. This gives me a unique opportunity to be able to compare the level of care provided at each one. I would trust the staff at Golden Years to take care of my family members. They provide excellent individualized care, communicate with families and care team, and have consistent staff who get to know each resident. They are patient, kind, and truly care about everyone. One of their owners is on site and is invested in the well being of every resident and staff member. The small size of the facility is another great advantage, welcoming residents to wander, while still being supervised, ensuring their safety. The decision to place your loved one in a facility is a hard one, but please know that they will receive the best care at Golden Years.
I have the opportunity to frequent Golden Years in a professional capacity. I am always impressed with the caring provision of care. These residents are like family to the staff and owners. The residents are clean, happy, respected and loved. Recently one of the owners offered up her 5th wheel (for the beds) & made meals for a family keeping vigil with their ill loved one who resided there. Given the opportunity I would confidently and lovingly place a dear family member in their facility. Plus they make a darn good cup of coffee!
Golden Years is the best Assisted Living Facility in the Sequim and Port Angeles area. Owner Tiana and her caregiving staff are absolutely extraordinary, going above and beyond to create a safe, homelike environment for their residents. The staff treated my mom like their own mother, showing patience and kindness while attending to her needs. When my mom was in her final days, Tiana and the team were right there by our sides, caring for her and our family and making sure my mom had everything she needed to be comfortable. Our family is so grateful to the team at Golden Years for making the final year of my Mom's life as happy, comfortable and meaningful as possible.
Three years ago we were looking for an assisted living facility for my mother in law. Her partner of 40 years had just passed away and we were in need of finding 24/7 care for her. It was during COVID which made things even more difficult Golden Years was recommended to us. I called to get some information and was very impressed with the staff and how helpful they were. Within a couple days they did an in home evaluation of her. Once they had her doctor evaluation we were able to get her moved in. She is very happy there. We like it because it is a small facility so she gets really good individualized care. They are easy to contact through phone calls, text or email. When she has a doctor appointment, one of the staff has even met us at the doctors to help answer questions they may have. It’s hard to have to take a loved one out of their home, but we have piece of mind knowing she is being well taken care of at Golden Years!
