My mom has been in assisted living at Golden Pond for almost 2 years. It has been the best experience we have both had with this transition in her life. I could not get through this difficult phase without the leadership and staff at Golden Pond. As we discuss the move to Memory Care, the staff and support teams have been amazing. Life is full of hardships and difficult decisions. Having to make the very tough decision to incorporate assisted living into our family dynamic for my mother was no exception. We toured and interviewed many facilities around the Denver area that gave us a rather “empty and cold” feeling. That was until we found Golden Pond. The staff is so welcoming, energetic and kind, but more importantly, WARM. The facility is beautiful and inviting, the grounds are well kept and the level and amount of fun activities provided to the residents is unparalleled. My family and I are forever grateful for the care and attention my mother receives every single day and for making her so happy and comfortable. Thank you Golden Pond!
Golden Pond is truly a special place. All the staff are very professional, kind, helpful and understanding. Michael is great to work with and made the move for my dad from Arizona into independent living there easy. The apartments are spacious and very nice along with the beautiful facilities and grounds. And the food is amazing!! I don’t think we could have found a better place. We are very happy with the Golden Pond Community.
When it came time for Dad to go into assisted living, he was very stubborn swore he wouldn't. Of all the places I toured in Denver area, nothing resonated like Golden Pond. Finally, I found a home for him ... beautiful surroundings, first rate apartments with multiple room options, a la carte dining and bistro options ... this would be like a lux hotel stay for him. He was so bitter on the drive to move in day. But upon entering his to-final home, relaxed and let the arguments go. The staff, Michael (at the time), Brian, Mariah, Rick, and too many others to name ... were wonderful to him over 20 months. He made friends. He enjoyed pestering everyone and they all took it in stride. Hospice finally came due, and he didn't want to leave. In our last conversation he told me "this place was really, really great." It got messy after that, and the Golden Pond staff helped me wonderfully till and after the end. Can't say more than that. Much respect. Golden Pond is great.
My extended family was looking for an Independent Living solution for my uncle. He kept trying to find problems with every location they visited because he simply did not want to live in a "retirement community". They finally visited Golden Pond, and while he had a few "concerns", my uncle finally gave in and chose his new home at Golden Pond. The family really enjoys visiting him, and because the apartments are spacious enough, they do not feel like they are visiting him in a medical facility (which was one of his issues with other communities). The staff has all been warm, welcoming and helpful to all of the family. And he really enjoys the food (another of his issues, he didn't want TV dinners that were warmed up). I wanted to take a moment and thank everyone at Golden Pond for making this change in my uncle's life as easy as possible for him. His perception of retirement communities has been changed by Golden Pond, and he keeps joking with the family about maybe meeting Jane Fonda one day (a reference to the movie On Golden Pond). So, again, thank you for all you do and continue to do for my uncle. I know he appreciates it, as do all of us.
