My mother in law resided at Golden Age until her passing. The staff took wonderful care of her and were so compassionate to our family. My father in law still resides there. The staff treat him as if he were family and take such great care of his physical and emotional health.

I have been a resident here for over 5 years. I feel the residents are taken care of very well. We have many good choice for our Meals. Our food quality and quantity are very good. We are provided with many activity options. Some of my favorites are live music, super bowl parties, and the new years party. I have also enjoyed the special events honoring the veterans. Our CNAs are very good at what they do. I myself have always gotton very good care as far as all the care I need which is why myself, I believe golden age manor meant to be my home.
All staff took great care of my grandma Junebug in her final months- doing special things for her. There are a lot of staff who have worked there for many years across multiple departments which shows dedication and heart. The noon meal is especially good! Activity department is always thinking of fresh fun ideas to entertain. Golden age is needed in this community-caregiving is a difficult job and these hardworking folks give their love and best care despite multiple challenges in this industry.
Mom was at GAM for several years and received excellent care. I am very impressed by the hardworking staff who go the extra mile to communicate any issues. I was kept informed of medicine changes, a fall, any agitation etc. I live well over a thousand miles away and greatly appreciated being on a first name basis with many of the staff. I could call anytime day or night and they would tell me how her day was, how she felt, even what kind of cookie they had brought for a bedtime snack. The activity staff go to great lengths to engage the residents in entertaining activities. We lost mom a little over a year ago, but I can honestly say she was never neglected. During her last few weeks she was unable to visit with us by phone, so they set up FaceTime visits for us two to three times a week. I would recommend GAM to anyone who wants a clean caring facility for their loved ones.
Inadequate care and supervision of my mother. Injuries were blamed on her even though she couldn’t walk. She was left dirty day after day. My sister went in every morning and washed our mom’s face, ears and brushed her teeth. She had sores on her body. I’m appalled at this facility. I’m sure there were some good people who provided the level of care they claim but I believe my sister’s account of how our mother was mistreated and treated. My sister was told they did nothing to break the law. What an inappropriate response. This facility makes me sick. My mom is gone now and thank God she doesn’t have to endure this place any longer.
