A family member stayed here in August and had good care and therapy. The community of patients and caring staff are great. Its not much to look at yet. I was so pleased to meet Colton Fleck from the corporate offices who is spearheading change to GSHC. He has quite a punch list. While we were there we saw improvements both in staffing and the facilities. The services provided here are essential to GWS and the valley and I am so happy to find out they will be upgraded.

If I could give it zero stars I would. Do not pay attention to the positive reviews they are fabricated by the management and corporate germs of Madison Creek Partners, which is the owner of this facility, and is the biggest trash organization known to healthcare. The facility is run by out of town travelers and pick up agency people who are only there the money, they could care less about the residents. They have zero permanent staff bc of the negative reputation of the facility that is well documented throughout the community, no credible person would set foot in this place. If you love your family member don't even consider this hell hole. The DON, Melanie Holmes, is an arrogant, narcissistic, foul, manipulative, classless fool. She has zero leadership skills, wreaks of cheap cigarettes, and has run off all the good staff bc of her ego. She needs to be removed from the position. If you could see behind the scenes of this place you would burn this place down yourself to save the world from its disgraceful existence. It is the laughing stock of the valley. Don't fall for their trap.
The staff are wonderful caring people who treat the clients with love and respect. The rooms are clean and patients are nurtured. On-site physical therapy session are wonderful. Every time I visit I am impressed with the facility because of the staff.
Two Family members had worked there in different areas of the Glenwood Springs health care facility, Everyday without fail there were multiple elderly patients unable to take themselfs to the bathroom, asking for hours to be relieved. Yet the CNAs RNA offices workers are always all to busy to be bothered to take them. As for the ones who do care, must keep asking to have them taken to the restroom since that is all they are Allowed to do!. I am disgusted how careless and rude the staff is to each other and patients, not to mention the lack of being on top of ingredients/ inventory to keep things running as smoothly as it should be.
This nursing facility is under staffed and poorly trained. My father was in their care after spending 3 months in hospital due to a severe car accident and resulting TBI & several physical injuries. He was in their care less than a month. He was 100% dependent on assistance for standing, sitting, eating, drinking, dressing, everything. In their care he was allowed to fall 2 times and after vomiting for 2 weeks was lifeflighted after HE asked to go to the ER with SEVERE DEHYDRATION, renal failure and septic shock. Luckily for us he survived. This place needs closed down. Do NOT send your loved ones here.
