The care and compassion at Gemstone is truly outstanding. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that every resident feels comfortable, safe, and valued. The building is small and feels more like someone’s home rather than a nursing facility or hospital. They take the time to just sit and talk with, give hugs to and be very attentive to each resident’s needs as one would want their loved one to be treated. Gemstone is always clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. Activities and social events keep everyone engaged and the décor for each season and planned festivities creates a warm and supportive community. I highly recommend Gemstone to anyone looking for a loving and professional environment for their loved ones.

If you are looking for somewhere for your loved one dealing with dementia to live, look no further. Colonial Gardens is the PERFECT place. The staff here truly care. Your family member will feel loved and will receive the best care possible.
I have a slightly different perspective of these places. I am a firefighter/Paramedic and on my off days I provide mobile IV therapy treatments and have a couple of clients that are residence at Colonial Gardens. I started seeing these clients a little over a year ago. I am in and out of "skilled nursing facilities" nearly everyday. The general consensus is that all of these places are terrible and overpriced. Even the "higher end" facilities I have seen first hand provide sub par and negligent care. I could provide countless stories of the fact , but I have been a fly on the wall at colonial for a while and will tell you they are different. The staff here pay attention and provide actual care to the residence! that shouldn't be a shock but unfortunately it is not the norm. They know these residence specifically, this is important because they can also determine if they aren't acting right. This translates to being able to get them a higher level of care sooner if it is ever necessary. That can very easily and frequently be a life or death difference for the residence they serve. Because of my insight I am often consulted when friends are looking for facilities for there loved ones and I have no problem sending them here. The staff is kind and genuine, they treat the residence with dignity and respect. Its very refreshing to see and lord willing they keep it up.
I was so impressed by the young lady who saw my husband and I outside and welcomed us, helped us get checked in, and took us to the room of my husband's aunt. This was our first visit. That same young lady offered us chairs and was very kind to our aunt as she gave her a breathing treatment. If that young lady is an example of the culture at the memory care facility, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it! The facility was clean, inviting, and seemed well run.
Colonial Gardens in Fort Worth has been nothing but a blessing for our family. My mother is so well cared for, and they create such a comfortable environment for her and the other residents, I couldn’t ask for more. My husband and I have such peace of mind knowing mom is in such a wonderful place. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for quality memory care placement.
