My mom was placed there after a difficult hospital operation. The staff is excellent. Administrative staff is willing to help in any way they can. The therapist, nurses, CNA'S and all other staff did an excellent job with her care.

I can not say enough great things about the staff at Gastonia Health & Rehab. The building looks amazing and very clean. The renovations have really made a home like environment. Everyone was very helpful from the housekeeping staff to upper management. I have never seen a DON and Administrator on the floor answering lights, but this is where you will find Christel & Shonda 9 times out of 10. Kudos to your staff.
I can't express enough how grateful my family and I are for the outstanding care my grandpa received at Gastonia Health and Rehab. From the moment he arrived, the staff treated him with the utmost kindness, compassion, and respect. The nurses and caregivers went above and beyond to ensure he was comfortable, well-cared-for, and treated like family. They were attentive to his needs and always took the time to make sure he felt valued and supported. The facility itself is clean, welcoming, and has a positive atmosphere, which made a big difference in his overall experience. The team at Gastonia Health and Rehab truly made a difficult time easier for our family, and we felt confident that my grandpa was in the best possible hands. I am a travel nurse who recently had a contract at Gastonia Health and Rehab and I was really impressed. . The administrator, Shonda, was not only handling her duties but she was also on the floor changing beds, answering call lights and checking on the residents. Rarely could she be found in her office with the door closed. The DON, Christel, would not hesitate to change residents and do whatever needed to be done to take some of the load off of the nurses and the CNA’s. I’ve been to a lot of facilities in my years as a traveler and I’ve never seen a leadership team so involved and invested in the resident’s care. They are aware of the past and present shortcomings of the facility and are constantly putting in the work to “fix” what’s been broken.
I can’t begin to express the relief that my siblings and I felt stumbling across this gem of a facility for our mother. The management staff and admissions coordinator were nothing short of amazing. They have truly exceeded our expectations! I’ll be sure to recommend Gastonia Health & Rehab center to anyone in need. Again, we thank you all so much for your great service and hospitality for our mother!
