I found this place working through a temp agency. I felt it in my heart, I would not want to work anywhere else. I applied full time and I thank God every day for blessing me with this job. It feels like HOME. 🏡 The house is beautiful, inside and out. The area is gorgeous. Nice quiet neighborhood, nature, the hills. The stars at night (are big and bright) 🎶👏🏼. Some of the Residents take strolls through the neighborhood. It sounds like home. You can hear old TV shows playing on the tv. Or in the evenings, it’s either the show Friends or a great movie playing. In the afternoon or during meals, there is music playing. All of the meals are home cooked. I love to cook. It’s therapy for me. Food = Love 🥰 The other Residents all get along and are so sweet. 🥹 Family members here are very involved and we see them everyday or every other day, like clockwork. It’s a big happy family here. There’s pet therapy. We all love the pets. 🐶 🐱 My boss, Jacquelyn, is so understanding and such a hard worker, herself. She leads by example. Very caring towards the employees and especially, the Residents. She pushes you to do better and gives praise when deserved. She takes pride in the house and so do we. The house is very stocked with supplies and food we need. She goes out of her way, above and beyond. She puts herself in other’s shoes to understand. She lays it down. You can count on her 24/7 around the clock. She is there. I remind myself every day to be thankful and appreciate what this house and my boss has brought me. I’m glad God led me here.

We had our mother there 8 months but decided to move her out in Spring '24 because of frequent staff turnover and some safety issues. Positives are that it is a small facility (house) so it is easier to get to know other residents. However the smaller size means not much common space to hang out (particularly in cold weather) and less quantity and quality of entertainment options for residents. We also found food choices and quality tend to be better in the larger facility we moved her to. Staff were generally fine but overworked and seemed to burn out and move on constantly.
Beautifully renovated home on the north west side of town where there are fewer options. Wes, the Admin. Designee seems to really care, and puts his heart into the work of managing this residential assisted living home and caring for it's community members.
Follow up from last review. Another shout out to staff at Quaker Acres! Jacque manager doing an awesome job! Attentive and handles issues with ease thank you for your excellent communication skills! Teresa daytime caregiver does an outstanding job taking care of so many daily needs. Also newer member Christy, such a great team! Thank you for all you do and helping my Mom acclimate to her new home!
