Horrible staff. They only care about fascade they present to prospect clients and their families The carpet on many floors are old dingy The staff thinks you work for them and any staff members can fill out a negative so called observations report on the residents but residents can not see them to be able to dispute their claims in the reports they claim they are only used for info such as when you have an emergency etc.. If that is the case why can we see what in the reports. It seems like they do not care what residents feel about their treatment. As a person of color I felt more disrespect than I should have received. I got in argument with a maintenance manager he kept his job and I was told to leave via 30 day notice. I feel in my opinion dismisal from the property was unjust without them giving me a chance to respond via written or an verbal statwment was unjust. I learned that some places can hide a dark side. As the old saying goes you can put lip stick on a.pig it is still a pig. People keep your ears and eyes opened before you make a decisions to move in Garden Villas of O'Fallon are moving your loved ones in that facility. The aforementioned statement is my honest feelings and opinions of this facility and a large portion of.its staff. I would rate this facility lowered than a half of star based on how I felt after two years it was considerable waste of my financial resources . Now I know to do my due diligence when looking for future retirement communities. As my grandpa would say look out.for the dog and pony shows that may be hiding something. Menu is so boring seems like same old things every other weekno imagination no special meals. Some staff likes to argue with me like I work for them I just want to be respected andrespect my privacy and treat like I should be treated. Cleaning of rooms is pretty basic you still have dust and clean windows yourself. And also sometimes you have pick up items off the floor on cleaning days that have to seen the items. Also heard they do observation reports without notifying residents or immediate family. I hope this not true.
Consider and compare available programs in O'Fallon for yourself or loved one. Assisted living could benefi from a more qualified caring and empathetic professional to manage it. Waited 3 hours in pain after requesting medicine. Complained, just got shrug and excuses. That is not good Pain Management. Tina and majority of staff members are great though.
My Mom has been an Independent Living resident here for almost 6 years, and we cannot be any happier with what can potentially be a very trying time for many people and their families.The facilities are top notch, as is the entire staff, who is loving and make my Mom feel special, and safe. To simply recommend Delmar's Garden Villas of O'Fallon, would be somewhat of an understatement. As the principal caregiver for my Mom, my life has been turned somewhat upside down, but these folks have gone above and beyond in order to make Mom's remaining time as pleasant as possible, while also allowing me to have a life. I cannot be more appreciative.
My parents have lived at Garden Villas since 2015. They have been treated with the greatest respect and allowed to maintain their dignity by every staff member they have encountered. John Daniels, head administrator met me on day one as I came to get information. He helped me so much with information needed to navigate the moving process. I just can't possibly say enough good things about the Villas! I will say that one of the most amazing and endearing things was that every staff member, including many teens working in the dining hall knew and called my parents by name at every encounter. I found that amazing!
