Staffing on weekends really stretched . My mom's roommate Ms.Ava Had no one to feed her. They had no chocolate milk. I Appreciate the staff seems like they don't have enough people on weekends . I understand the last four years been tough on Health care industry. With Mandated vaccine shots.
My 100 yo Mom has been at Cherrywood for nearly 4 weeks. She is in the 3rd Unit where the care has been excellent. From nurses to attendants, her needs are being met with compassion… our family is extremely grateful to them.
The facilities are well kept, smells clean and fresh. The staffis always cordial and attentive to patient's needs. I rated highly mainly because compared to others I never have complaints and a joy to visit my friend. He also doesn't complain.
The facility has gone down hill with a high turnover rate of employees. Management sweeps allegations of abuse under the rug when employees report it. In 2023 the administrator Dawn had unlicensed/uncertified employees providing direct patient care to residents. Management has facilitated multiple wrongful terminations of employees due to personal bias and discriminatory practices. Management believes that they can do shady business under the assumption that their employees are low income or incompetent and unable to afford legal representation . This ideology will have serious legal repercussions for Futurecare. In 2023 the facility ran a CNA/GNA class and administrator Dawn threatened the graduates with owing $6,000 even though no formal contract was signed. There is never enough clean linen for residents. No PPE is used in patient rooms that require it , risking the spread of nosocomial infections.
