Friendship Village is a great place to rehab. We were very pleased with the care and therapy I received during my 10 week stay there recovering from cardiac arrest and related issues. The entire staff was friendly, caring, and very efficient in attending to my many needs. We were especially looking for a place with a great therapy program. All the therapists at FV - PT, OT, Speech - were exemplary! Their skills, knowledge, and ability to assess just what I needed and guide me through each type and level of therapy, always with patience and a smile, were truly amazing! Last but not least, the facility itself is extremely clean and pleasant looking with a welcoming and homey atmosphere. The large beautiful courtyard also provides a lovely spot to spend some time outdoors. Should I ever need to rehab again, I will definitely seek out FV.

We have had several great experiences over the last two and a half years with the care staff of Friendship Village Tempe Health Center. The building is very nice with many common areas and a lovely outdoor patio with water features, flowers, trees and plenty of places to sit and take in the sunshine. If your loved one needs a place to recover, rehab from surgery, illness or long hospital stays, look to Friendship Village.
My mom stayed at the Friendship Village Health Center for skilled nursing. Let me tell you, it's nothing compared to the previous facility she stayed at. This health center welcomed her with dignity and respect as expected. She enjoyed the semi-private rooms with wall dividers between the rooms. The room was spacious; clean and very comfortable. Each room has a window and being able to see the light of day brought her joy. All staff were excellent and met her expectations. She felt calm and relaxed and not stressed. The other facility caused a lot of stress with the way she was treated and how they handled situations. She got the attention she needed at Friendship Village. Physical therapy was great, she received the proper treatment during her sessions. She felt safe, comfortable and did not fear being rushed. She loved all the therapist she worked with and looked forward to the sessions. I wish we could have chosen this facility sooner; she lost days at the other facility where she did not get proper treatment and experienced hell. If you are looking for a facility for geriatric patients, this is the place you would want your loved one to recover with dignity.
My grandma has stayed at Friendship Village Health Care Center twice for rehabilitation services. During both stays here she received excellent care and accommodation. Nursing staff was kind and respectful. Therapy motivated her and cheered her up by playing songs she loved and dancing with her. Every person that interacted with not only her but our entire family was friendly. Everyone there takes pride in resident and family care and goes above and beyond all expectations. I would wholeheartedly recommend Friendship Village Health Care Center to anyone in need of skilled nursing/ rehabilitation.
Both my parents have utilized the Friendship Village Healthcare Center during their 17 years as independent residents of FVT. My father lived the last 5 years of his life with Alzheimer’s in the healthcare center (living 14 years total with the disease) and he was happy, healthy and extremely well cared for. Our family is so very grateful for the care that all the healthcare center staff provided. His room was always clean, as were his clothes and his person. The atmosphere was always cheerful and nurturing with a focus on quality care. He was treated with dignity and compassion every step of the way through his journey and in the end was under Hospice of The Valley with staff and facilities on the first floor of the healthcare center aiding FVT skilled nurses in his final days, a real comfort. My 94 year old mother has had 4 occasions to utilize healthcare for rehabilitation the last 2-3 years after two falls with major bone fractures as well as after back surgery and healed quickly and well under the skilled nursing care as well as physical therapy available in the care center. Our family cannot say enough good things about all the Friendship Village offers.
