This is my mom's third time at Friendship South. The first time was during COVID-19 and I could not access the facility to check on her. I stood outside her window every few days to see her and we talked on the phone every day. She said that experience was good and she recovered from her operation. The next two times have been since November 2024. I'm proactive and am there every day. I talk with the staff and they know that I am checking on her. We've been very pleased with her level of care. Yes, there are staffing issues and sometimes delays when she pushes the call button, but Friendship has done what they can to ensure there is coverage. The regular staff have all been great. The food is good, nothing special, but there is a wide variety of items offered. My mom is a very picky eater and likes about half of what she is served. The facility itself is still in good condition. The rooms are kept clean and the facility doesn't smell like a "nursing home" - you know what I mean. There are a lot of activities for the permanent residents, which impressed my mom. I think the issues mentioned in reviews from 3-5 years ago have been addressed. Overall, this is a good place for rehab and I feel secure having my mom there. As with ANY rehab or nursing facility, the care your loved receives is directly tied with how involved you are. It takes a village.

My father has been under the care of this amazing facility. I was quite surprised to see the rating is as low as it appears. While you will find some staff who are less attentive than others, I believe this is what you will experience with most businesses. You will experience a range of employees common in all businesses. However, our experience has been that the facility is very clean, the rooms are large, and because of the design of the building, it is rare to hear others in their rooms or even in the hallways. The receptionists are amazing and helpful. The care my father received was overall above average and many - Katie and Jessica in particular - were truly remarkable. The staff contacted me frequently and offered assistance in whatever way I required. They stayed in such close contact with me to ensure my father had the best care - honestly, I am so grateful for our experience there. I wouldn’t choose to go anywhere else. If I ever need a facility for myself, I will do everything possible to go there. Thank you so much Friendship South for taking such good care of my father! Thanks especially to the staff contacting me with ever action taken and the compassion they expressed toward both my father and me.
My aunt's mother received great care in her short time at Friendship South. She especially enjoyed the food! Thank you!
My wife used Friendship South after a fall in our house due to her Alzheimer's disease. We were there for almost 6 weeks and they took wonderful care of her as well as keeping me posted as to what they were doing for her and why they were doing it. The administration staff was always ready to talk about anything that I wanted to ask them. The nursing staff took very good care of her the whole time she was in Friendship South until she passed away there. They were very comforting and attentive to my wife's every need as well as my requests.
The nursing staff is magnificent and management is very kind, they are highly involved and attentive to the resident’s needs. The director of nursing (forgot his name) is very approachable and always willing to help. Would highly recommend Friendship South!
