My family has had the unique perspective of experiencing this nursing home twice—first through my father's stay for rehabilitation, and now through my mother's continued care. I can say without hesitation that this facility has been a blessing during the more challenging times for our family. When my father came here after being hit by a car, we were unsure what recovery would look like. The rehabilitation staff welcomed him with both skill and compassion, working closely with him every step of the way. Thanks to their dedication, he didn’t just heal—he walked out even stronger than before. We found a team of professionals deeply committed to not just recovery, but dignity. The staff blended patience, encouragement, and clinical expertise in a way that gave us real hope. He didn’t just regain strength—he regained confidence. Now, with my mother newly admitted for short-term rehab after a fall and hip surgery, we’re just beginning this next chapter. Although she’s not yet able to walk, we already feel a sense of reassurance. While the staff is still getting to know her, their professionalism and kindness have given us confidence that she’s in capable hands. We have full trust that the rehabilitation team will support her recovery with the same dedication and expertise we witnessed during my father’s stay. No facility is perfect, and there are occasional hiccups as in any healthcare setting. But what stands out is the responsiveness—when we raise a concern, it’s met with care and action, not excuses. That makes all the difference. This place isn’t just where my parents received care—it’s where they were and are cared for. And in a world where that distinction can be rare, we’re deeply grateful. I've been fortunate to be a patient at Friedwald 4x for rehabilitation. First was knee replacement, second was a crushed knee cap, and the third time was a broken tibia. Each time, Friedwald got me up on my feet and I left walking. My fourth time was a tune up to increase my stamina and I'm now walking further and better than ever. Patient care at Friedwald is outstanding. The staff is extremely professional, from the approachable administrator, all the way down the line. No question goes unanswered. May take time but I always get a response. The care and compassion is reassuring, and the safe environment lets me focus on healing. I would heartily recommend this place for anyone who needs rehabilitation, and/or short or long term care for their loved ones.
My experience at Friedwald has been very positive. The staff is kind and understanding of my needs. Always responsive and ready todo what’s needed to rectify the situation. I personally would like to applaud the first floor for helping me make a difficult situation more bearable. Ann Gorman, the nurse who does treatments is one special lady. She is always there to lend an ear and is giving and supportive way beyond her duties. There are really so many special members of the staff I would like to thank for helping me unravel my frustrations and confusion with my ups and downs of my rehabilitation. I would highly recommend Friedwald Center to anyone needing rehabilitation or nursing care.
I have been a resident of Friedwald for the last 9 years and have nothing but good things to say about my experience with this facility. The staff are respectful and very attentive to the needs of the resident. The housekeeping staff is top notch and keep the facility fresh and inviting. And I can’t forget to give a big shout out to our clerk on our floor, Kimmy Conklin who keeps up with everyone’s appointments and schedules and treats all her residents like they are special, which I’m sure they are to her. I have recommended Friedwald to others and they also been very pleased with their experiences. I will continue to recommend Friedwald as an excellent rehab facility.
This facility is great for rehab for those that can not function at home. The rehab department, they assess the patient’s personal ability daily to be able to function independently. I have no dispute with any department. All work well together. They go above and beyond their capability to get one back to their prior level of function.
