After checking out and evaluating many independent living communities, I chose Freedom Plaza. The apartments are large, the staff is welcoming and unfailingly pleasant. The views from most apartments are great. Tha sunrise over New River is usually spectacular. The food is very good. The residents are happy evidenced by smiles and pleasant greetings. There are many activities from which to choose and a variety of entertainment options. Overall, a great place to retire.

1-Star Review I used to think Freedom Plaza was a great place, but in the last year, it has gone downhill especially the food. It used to be decent, but now it’s barely edible. The quality has dropped so much that many residents complain, but nothing seems to change. Management doesn’t seem to care, and the overall atmosphere just isn’t what it used to be. For what people pay to live here, they deserve way better. Wouldn’t recommend it anymore.
The public areas are bright and well decorated. My husband's room looks like they cleaned out a store room. The dingy taupe walls are badly gouged. The couch and chair dingy and not matched. The wardrobe..no built in closet..and side tables look like thrift store rejects. They also are badly gouged. The food is scarce and no real choices and not tasty. On a positive side The staff is great and responsive to the call light. I would go elsewhere if you have a long stay.
This is one of my customers. They are super professional and take care of their residence. I would have no problem haveing my mom or dad stay here.
I do a religious service here once a month. Tania Newberry is the program director here and she is wonderful. She cares for the residents and she does a great job directing the service, picking out the music, and playing the piano. I really enjoy the ministry there.
