Alverna is top notch! She is very professional and full of knowledgeable. The building is beautiful and ran smoothly! Every nursing home has issues now and then; that is expected the way the health industry is now, but when there is an issue rather big or small it is addressed immediately! Thanks Fredericksburg team! You ROCK!
90% of staff do not know what they're doing or are doing their jobs correctly. You have to fight for your family members. They stick your loved one in a room and forget about them. The staff DOES NOT CARE. Never come here. The entire facility is outdated, the painting is chipping, the wallpaper is peeling, and everything is dirty. There is a shared toilet between two rooms that are doubled in patients (4 people sharing a closet with a toilet). They don't have running water in the rooms, they use a cooler, and drain bodily fluids into the sinks. This place needs to be shut down immediately.
I toured Fredericksburg health and rehab last month. I needed to find a locked unit because my mom had Alzheimer’s and I could no longer care for her at home. I met with Ginney, the Admissions director who was able to address all my questions and concerns. The facility was one of the cleanest I had toured that day. There were no urine smells, and the residents in their locked unit were very happy. Unfortunately my mom passed before I could bring her in, but I knew she would have been happy there. I’m giving this facility a 5 star review, because the reviews did no justice for seeing the facility in person an meeting some of the employees.
would definitely do your research before placing a loved one in this facility! My mother was in this facility for 5 years, the first couple years, when I was able to go every day, was ok. But this past 2 years after I started working, she started going down hill. She had to be admitted in to the hospital with an infected foot and sepsis, 16 days in the hospital and amputation. And this facility did nothing for her! If I did not pull her out of this facility that day I probably would not have my momma here today! Shame on this facility.
