I recently had a tour with Chrissy. She was polite, friendly and knowledgeable. The facility is located in the heart of downtown Rock Island and has easy access. Inside is clean, easy to move around, open and very homey. She showed me one of the rooms which was roomy, clean, and comfortable. There are many activities to do at the facility. There's an outside patio that's huge and full of trees, bushes and flowers and tables to sit at. It's a very nice facility.

Moved mom in yesterday and moved her out today. They are all about there image and don't seem to actually care about these people that live her. Everyone including the nurse saying "that's not my job". My mom is a fall risk like she's very capable of transferring herself from her wheel chair and bed but the room she was in had the bathroom where her toilet was right next to a big outdated window 6 storys up that she could easily fall out of if she lost her balance i told Chrissy and was told that's not something we do. I asked them to explore alternatives for bars and a barrier for the window for her safety and in the meantime to please send an aid when mom had to use the toilet just to stand by in case she loses her balance. Mom had to use the main lobby bathroom because she was scared to use hers. The first meal was crap. Ignored my mom's first time using call light for at least an hour. I decided to go to see what was going on. Walked up to mom's room and pushed again. 2 helpers show up with 3 minutes claiming it was the first time they seen her call light. Argued with my mom and called her a lier. Wasn't getting a very good feeling about this place from the moment we walked into this facility but I wanted to give it a chance. I went to Facebook to ask others what they thought about this facility and I had 30 comments telling me to get my mom and run. Then I get a phone call from chrissy the director saying that someone sent her a screenshot of my post and asking why i didnt go to her first and telling me that all of were disgruntled employees. Then she was practically begging me to remove my post, which I did not because I believe if you dont have anything to hide, then why are you fighting so hard to sensor others who had horrible things to say about this place. Over 30 comments and most of them didn't have anything good to say about fort Armstrong and pretty much told me to take my mother out and run. The entrance of the building is very impressive and they have it looking very nice however when you go upstairs they have carpet taped down with duct tape, piss in the elevator, stains, smelly and dirty elevator and many empty hand sanitizer stations. My mothers room was filthy and entire floor smelled of cigarette smoke, I don't see how they haven't shut this place down yet to be honest.
Great place to live. The main door when you come in lobby needs better lighting. It's not lit up enough. The lobby needs the lights dusted also. You can see the dust. But housekeeping does good work. Activity girl does a great job.
Very nice facility. They take good care of the residents and help to make things as easy as possible. They do shopping trips, doctors visits, and cook. I would recommend if you’re looking for an assisted living facility.
Great place to live. I enjoy the activities we have. Racheal activities is a great person and very friendly and helpful.
