This place when resident lived there was awful. People there are very rude! The bosses do not work on the weekends. This Christmas there was one staff member working only. The resident said she was afraid to ask for plastic silverware because the kitchen would get mad. Upon first arrival there was a teenagers desk out in the middle if the halls. Papers everywhere on the desk and what kind of professional company would say that was inviting? They eventually built a new desk and made the fireplace somewhat match the patern of the desk but just because it looks nice doesn't mean the place itself is any good. Hurry and get your loved one out fast! Before long ago I was told by this resident that her neighbor left ne cause her daughter finally realized how bad the place was and so she took her out. I used to work at a senior living place...one of several.. and one of my residents came from there and daughter said it was awful and they couldn't get him out fast enough. They allow smoking outside and don't keep the residents busy enough to make them want to forget about that. Run fast and do not put your loved one here. I have never worked at a senior living where the bosses don't take turns on the weekends working. There is no bosses on the weekend period that work. They are home kicking their feet up. Some staff quit pretty fast. And for obvious reason. I wouldn't let my pet rat stay here. I believe a person living there will have a shorter life because there is nothing there to look forward to or keep their spirits up. As mentioned before a new desk in the hallway will not mean the place is good or even liveable. All the rooms are very small and old and depressing. This will all make someone have a shorter life because here at this location there is no encouragement shown to the reside ts and staff doesn't for obvious reasons stay very long. I always felt very bad for each resident we passed as we walked down the hallway. That was all they had to do so that is what kept them busy. It's a sad and depressing place which results in a shorter life for your loved one. Stay away! Run fast!!

Our family has had a great experience situating Dad into Forest Hills Commons. All the staff (everyone!) has been kind and caring with us. Dad is gregarious and has had so much fun at the activities, the dining room and interacting with his carers. The food is delicious, varied and nutritious. We do love that the chefs come out to the tables to chat with the residents. The activities are well thought out, whether at or away from the facility with bus transportation, and dad particularly enjoys the musicians. As a family who wants to see Dad getting living his best life, we feel that we have struck gold! Thank you to everyone at FHC.
My mom has been a resident at Forest Hills Commons for almost 2 years. She lives in the Memory Care Community and has thrived. The staff in Memory Care truly care about their residents. They have special events, live music, arts & crafts and decorate the memory care unit for every single occasion. The Director of Nursing and staff spend a lot of time making these residents feel special. I am truly grateful. Shannon
My mother is a resident in the memory care unit at Forest Hills Commons. I could not be any more pleased with the care that she receives there and I have the utmost trust and confidence in Marie and her team as well as the caregivers. It's really hard when you can no longer provide all the care by yourself that your loved one needs. Marie and her staff have been very patient and understanding with all my worries and concerns. Most importantly my mother is safe and cared for in a loving and nurturing environment.
There are so many wonderful things to say about Forest Hill Commons where do I even begin! I work as a community liaison for a geriatric psych facility and when I was given the opportunity to tour Forest Hill Commons-I was just blown away. The facility is absolutely beautiful with so much charm and added amenities for their residents that just can’t be beat. The staff is friendly, helpful and do such an amazing job engaging with the residents that live there. The rooms vary and size and let me tell you…I would love to stay in any of them!! Alexandra “Alli” matches the charm and friendliness of this facility. She makes you feel so welcomed whether you’re just staying for a tour or to live there. It’s truly an amazing place.
