Surpasses my most positive expectations. The Forest City nursing home took my husband in when he seemed near death. The staff got him out of bed, dressed and into a wheelchair and his alertness bounced back to near normal. The doctor improved his medications and the physical and occupational therapists give him daily workouts in the gym. When he arrived his roommate had a very objectionable news program blaring 24/7 on the tv. One complaint and my husband was instantly whisked to a lovely private room. When and if his Medicare runs out and we have to pay, I’ve researched every hospice and nursing home within a 50 mile radius and have found nothing to even remotely compare at anywhere near the cost. And now with the excellent care he is getting there is even a good possibility he will come home.

My mother (Jan) is getting wonderful care in the Forest City Rehab center. I was impressed from my first phone call to the admissions staff. Mickey is professional,knowledgeable, efficient and compassionate . The entire staff works together as a team. Their care has helped my mom improve immensely. I am so impressed with the way this facility is run. Hats off to the administration team. All of my questions and concerns are addressed in a timely manner. Every staff member I have met or talked with has been very kind and knowledgeable about my moms care. The facility is clean inside and out. I personally really like tge staff here. They go above and beyond to answer my questions and call me with up dates on my mom, if I can't make it there. They are very friendly and kind, caring people. It is also very well kept, it smells cleaner than most nursing homes.
This is a real gem, the facility is clean, the meals are tasty, and the staff really seems to care about the patients. I have, being in the medical field I have had the opportunity to be in far too many nursing homes. The hallmark is often the smell, something I can truly say is not an issue here. It smells actually clean. No facility that takes care of the elderly or chronically ill will ever be perfect and I’m sure at times there are issues but I can say that in over 10 visits on different dates I have seen none.
Forest City Nursing & Rehab Center is an outstanding facility. The staff is kind to everyone, willing to answer a question if needed. They are very professional during their Care Review Meetings. Take a special initiative to help the residents with activities, or any other needs required. They are very clean. I highly recommend. Thank you for all you do.
