I am so grateful to Evelina and her unbelievably caring staff who took care of my mom for almost 5 years until she passed away. My mom, who had Alzheimer’s, was not only expertly cared for at 5 Star but they truly loved her and always treated her with dignity. She was in the Redwood Shores home. She had 3 home cooked meals a day plus plenty of snacks. Evelina always made sure there was plenty of food and would buy the patients their favorite foods. All you had to do was let Evelina know what your loved one liked. Prior, my mom had been at a large facility for about 4 years but there was so much turnover in staff that made my head spin and my mom would end up in the ER almost every month from dehydration. At 5 Star Care Home, in almost 5 years there was no turnover whatsoever and we had to take her to the ER only a handful of times as the disease progressed. When my mom passed away, her caregivers grieved for her along with us. A true testament to how much the caregivers truly cared for my mom. If an opening opens up at one of the 2 5 Star Care homes that Evelina owns, take it. You will be so pleased with how they care for your loved one.
