We stayed at the Cape Cod @ the Firmstone Inn after driving from PA to VI to pick up our Wired Hair Vizsla. After a 5 Hour drive we arrived at the Cape Cod, which was so beautifully decorated, comfortable and very clean. We were greeted with homemade bread and homemade cookies. To our surprise, we opened the fridge and there was two beers and two refreshing ciders from a local farm market. The Cape Cod was so comfortable and we felt so at home. We would definitely stay there again if we’re in the area it was close to town. We ate at Jack Mason‘s, which had very good food great entertainment, and a very nice atmosphere. The bed was so comfortable and so lush. I’d like to thank Brian and Michael for a great time and thank you for a great puppy!

We stayed in the Kitchen House at Firmstone Manor September 13-15, 2024 while doing some hiking in the nearby mountains. This renovated historical “kitchen house” was VERY clean, beautifully decorated, had the plushest towels, and had a very comfortable bed with extra nice linens. There were treats from a local bakery on the kitchen counter when we arrived, a beautiful vase of flowers on the table, and local beer and cider in the very clean frig. The owner’s attention to detail was much appreciated by our family. Everything was perfect and we had a marvelous weekend. We will be back!
Firmstone was our base for a three-day getaway to the Alleghany highlands. We stayed in The Station, a two-bedroom property that was a filling station in a previous life. It's been extensively redone with modern furnishings and vivid decor. It's quiet, comfortable, and spacious where it counts (although the bedrooms were quite tight). The location was perfect for us, located not far from restaurants and shops in Lexington and the Jackson River rail-trail in Covington, both reachable via I-64. Firmstone is just four miles from Pete's Cave Trail, a fairly flat ridgetop trail with awesome views. Firmstone was an excellent value, priced like a hotel but with much more comfort, space and amenities. Definitely not a cookie-cutter lodging experience!
