It has taken me a while to get around to this review but better late than never. My Mum went into care in their dementia care wing in May 2024 and died very quickly in September 2024, aged 96 after a fall. Before that, my sister had cared for her for three years. During that time, my mother developed dementia. My sister is a very competent, well-organised and caring person who was dedicated to looking after our mother until the end. However, Mum's dementia nearly did her in and aged care became the only option. I have nothing but the highest praise for the management and staff of Fairway Rise's dementia wing. Their approach is based on Montessori principles. They focus on what residents are still able to do, rather than what they cannot. Because of their kind, caring approach, Mum readily accepted after a short time that "This is my home now." Also, residents are encouraged to participate in social activities in the regular wing. We had a delightful afternoon, listening to someone playing guitar and singing, eating hordourvres and drinking wine. Mum thoroughly enjoyed herself. I was also impressed by the fact that there were no visting hours. Since this was Mum's "home", we were welcome to visit at any time. Visitors are also welcome to dine with their relative. I have had some experience with aged care - a friend with dementia, my mother-in-law with dementia and my husband with dementia. Fairway Rise stands head and shoulders above all the places that I have experienced. Please keep up the great work, especially everyone in the St. Andrew's wing and their delightful manager (whose name eludes me - the one with all the tattoos - don't be put off - she is fabulous!!!)

Business must be good! I've contacted Fairway Rise a couple of times about age care for my mother. On each occasion, I was informed someone would call me back. Never been contacted. When I last contacted the organisation, I was assured someone would call me within 24 hours. I heard nothing but the sound of crickets.
Beautiful nursing home for our beloved Mum. She deserves the great care given to her by the wonderful staff.
Caring and compassionate staff who genuinely care for their residents. Very happy with how my dear Mum is cared for and loved.
Compassionate, caring happy staff who genuinely care about their residents and work hard to ensure their comfort, happiness and wellbeing.
