My mother in law was in this facility and the care and cleanliness of the facility was horrible. The staff and patient care was horrible. We as a family was lied to about her care and treatment plan. She was supposed to receive showers on Wednesdays and Saturdays but did not because those were the days sent went to dialysis. We would visit the facility after work and she would still be in bed. On her dialysis days noone would be there to greet her upon returning. I would go to the facility to make sure she got put in the bed, night clothes on, changed and fed. Her tray would be sitting in her room. I found a bug in her drink, dairy products sitting out for hours ( milk and ice cream) which I would throw out. She was served under cooked mashed potatoes ( powder left in the middle of the potatoes). On several occasions her bag was full of bm and smelling up the room. I pressed the call light no one responded so I had to go find someone to change the bag and clean her up. The sheets on mom's bed hadn't been changed so I went and got sheets off the cart and changed them myself. With all of this negligence we requested a family meeting with the director to address all of these concerns. When I asked about showers and linen being changed the Director/Administrator asked do you still want the sheets changed since you just changed them? What kind if question is that to ask. Do you changed your sheets after taking a shower or do you leave them on your bed weeks at a time. None of our concerns seem to matter so we as a family decided that it would be best for our love one to be removed from this facility. I am so glad we made that decision because in their care she wasn't eating, drinking, being changed or bathed, she was getting physical therapy as she needed to help her walk or to help her regain the mobility she needed to care for herself. We got her moved to another facility she is now home walking, eating/drinking and feeding herself. She's up going to the restroom on her own, none of these things she was able to do on her own at Fairlane Senior Center. I would not recommend sending anyone to this facility.

Do NOT send a loved one to this facility. It is dirty, most of the staff is unprofessional and the social worker, Annette, who is assigned to the patient, refers you BACK to the staff who are not doing their jobs. Luckily, there are photos and independent witnesses to the incompetence. Pay attention to the rating. It is actually generous.
My daughter has been at this facility for about 4 years now from the front office to the back of this building everyone checks on my daughter she is properly cared for she just recently came out of Sinai Grace for issue with her peg tube the doctors and nurses from the emergency all the way up to the staff on the 5th floor kept praising wherever my daughter was staying at because her skin had no signs of breakdown at all I had nothing bad to say about Fairlane Senior Care Rehab Center they will take care of your loved one I come at different times each time my daughter is either up or either dressed in the bed ready to be placed into her jerry chair the staff loves on my daughter like she is family to me this is her family outside of her blood family go in and take a tour see how the residents look everybody is so happy the activities staff run by Matika really has the residents going exercising bingo different parties I promise you they are very active at this facility. My daughter has stayed at three other facilities from Wyandotte to Trenton another facility in Detroit and now we are here at this facility hands down this is the best one in Detroit Michigan trust me you will not be disappointed with this facility at all.
An epic place to be, staff are happy, energetic, and welcoming! Dietary does an excellent job with the execution of meals.
If your love one is in this facility; take them out immediately. They do not care about them at all. Rita Taylor is a blood hound and only wants money. They took the majority of my uncle’s money.. The nursing staff, social worker Annette Clark are all horrible people.. My uncle was sick with fluid in his lungs. Not once did they seek medical attention for him. My uncle is blind and was treated with disrespect. Although he can be challenging at times. This does not mean you are to neglect him. Once he was discharged and placed in a better facility. It was discovered he was losing oxygen and now sleeps with an oxygen tank. Fairlane Nursing home knew something was wrong with him but did not care. The State Investigator will do something about this place. Hopefully they are found guilty of exploitation of the elderly, neglect and shut them down permanently…
