Most of the staffs are new. Most of the staffs and nurses are very nice but they didn’t have time to help you until you found them. 3 tech nurses helped 46 patients for cleaning, food and transport. If you need anything, it may take a few hours. If your family can’t feed by themselves or called the nurses , they may exshauted for hungry, painful. If you need anything you have to find the right person. For example if I need toilet paper and soap, I asked a nurse I saw they said they would ask but after a few days I still didn’t have they said I had to find a supply person who I didn’t know. So, I brought from home soap, toilet paper, toothpaste, etc. They put person to a wrong room, they delivered wrong food twice. Summary this facility is understaffed and too old. The problem is from the management department which needs to hire more staffs, clean and renovate the facility, provide more support services and supplies. Our dad was supposed to be there for 6 weeks therapy, but after a week we couldn’t handle anymore because everyday, we had to be there at least 10 hours a day to feed our dad and to find nurse to clean and to provide medication for him. I wish the owners or management can improve better so we didn’t have to transfer to different rehab. Thanks all staffs and nurse working there.

Toilet should not take four days and running to be fixed. It stinks and custodian person keep cleaning. How about maintenance person fixing the toilet? Update. Mom got moved to another room. She keeps on getting meat served at every meal. They did it again now. My mom will not eat anything now. So, disappointing. Vegetarian, do not stay here. Update. I was at this facility for dinner two days ago and my mom was served meatballs. In front of me, she has been served meat. Owner. Called administrator several times and no connection. Last night, my mom called wanted female nurse and I will find out if she got one later today. How can we make sure she gets female nurse for changing? Update, my mom had to call 911 after nurse didn’t come after 20 minutes due to pain. I stayed on the phone with amber and asked her to call 911. Unacceptable. It appears to me if you are good patient with minimal needs, people love it. OT and PT are good as other reviewers have stated. Nurse, aide appear to be minimally trained and understaffed, but patients are taken. My mom roommate cannot wait to depart too.
While not new or luxury, the facility is clean, nursing and support staff clearly have concern for residents and are motivated to act on resident's behalf, even when resident is unable to tell staff what the problem is. Food is appropriate and servers exhibit the same desire to support residents. In my experience as a physician, this degree of caring and problem solving is uncommon. Perfect for my friend who is unable to speak her needs at times.
This week, I saw a level of commitment and dedication from our staff during the most recent snow storm. Staff members ensured they were present to care for our residents, regardless of the bad driving conditions. Our staff are always willing to go above and beyond to provide excellent care for our residents.
ALL CARE is TERRIBLE except PHYS. THERAPY [1] MEDICARE/MEDICAID VIOLATION: DENIAL/DELAY PAIN MANAGEMENT. The Super Bowl—IS NOT a holiday. How dare they repeatedly take HOURS to give someone their pain meds! [2] POOR/DELAYED, or REFUSAL to complete valid physician orders. [3] COMPLAINTS go unheeded, ignored/unanswered. [4] GOOD LUCK getting a Standard Nursing Care Plan drawn up. Customized plan + goals + measured outcomes. [5] FORCED to deal with broken equipment but abundant excuses. [6] SUPERVISOR NEVER, yes NEVER available and NEVER RETURNS calls. [7] PHYSICAL THERAPY WAS EXCELLENT!! I REPEAT PT WAS GREAT! [8] FILE COMPLAINTS w/ Commonwealth of Virginia, Blue Cross of Virginia, and Medicare.
