My experience at fair oaks started off great. Jennifer, the previous DON was a great DON. She cared for her CNA’s like they were her own. She was always there for us. I started at fair oaks August of 2023 & was terminated on August 6th, 2024. I was very close with my residents & their family members. They loved me. I did the best I could to give the residents the best care. Until a new DON was hired in. I had got sick, so I went to the doctor, they gave me a doctor’s note. Gave the doctor’s note to HR. Not even a week later, I got wrote up for calling in. Kept working, sickness was worse. I got sick again on Saturday, the 3rd of August. The assistant DON told me I could not come into work until the symptoms were gone. So I came back on Monday the 5th. I got a call on Tuesday from the DON saying she was terminating my employment. I was supposed to get my last sign on bonus at the end of the month. Which makes sense why they fired me. Fair oaks is a joke!
While the pictures on FB look great, your loved one is only dollar signs for them! My Mom passed on 6/2/24 & she was there for a year. NOT ONE SINGLE call for condolences from Director, Activity planner, Social Worker, etc. On the plus side, her hall nurse is a great guy who really cares about his patients. He was very good to my mom, but I CANNOT say the same about other staff. Many promises were made for her care plan and NONE were applied! They gave me another woman's medical information instead of my mother's at the Care Plan Meeting. HIPPA laws in place to protect their patients don't apply, I guess! *UPDATE* Someone wrote a reply to this & claimed they will reach out. It's NOVEMBER & I haven't heard a word from them! **STAFF WRITES THE REVIEWS!!!!** Heather Keller is the accountant & Cathy Preville is the Head nurse.....BEWARE!
Great kind caring attentive staff. Great atmosphere. Lots of fun activities for residents to enjoy throughout the day. Enjoy the terrace that's has a gazebo so residents can enjoy sitting outside. Just overall great place for your loved ones.
After one year here I can say things have gone well for me they offer enough activities to keep you busy uf you wish to families are w e lcome to visit even playing Bingo. The cleanliness is great. Staff are great each morning a happy face comes in to start the day . Improvement needed in sharing information..safety important listening is good.
