I searched for retirement communities for my Mom in 2023. My criteria were facilities that were open, inviting, clean and friendly, among other things. My Mom likes lots of natural light and engaging activities such as live music and bingo. We discovered Esplanade Gardens and she moved in a year ago. Esplanade has easy access to highways, amenties, and pharmacies. The staff are all professional, patient, friendly, and attentive. The front office is well organized and helpful. The maintenance and facility staff are on top of all the cleanliness and repair orders. The chef and kitchen staff are superb!!! My Mom never misses a meal and always has rave reviews. The medical staff and the aides are tireless and wonderfully compassionate. They are faithful to reach out to me in the event of any concerns for my Mom's wellbeing. The nurses are very bright and conscientious. The aides are first class! They never show anything besides a willingness to cheerfully help out in any situation. The leasing office is simple, flexible, and straightforward- no hidden expenses. The social and activities department is creative and engaging, always decorating the facility for each new holiday and event. Esplanade is large enough to have everything my Mom needs but small enough for everyone to know each other on a first name basis. Rapport and dignity define this friendly assisted living community in Live Oak. My Mom is well cared for and happily settled here. I'm grateful for the attention and care I can count on the staff at Esplanade to provide. Thank you Esplanade!! 10/10

We toured Esplanade Gardens and decided it was a good fit for us. The facility was extremely clean and we met staff and residents in a tour. The food was excellent and nurses, maintenance, front desk & staff all professional and friendly. Very welcoming atmosphere. Mom will move in soon.
Over two years ago now our family did a search of Assisted Living facilities in the San Antonio area for my parents to move to. We are so happy that we found Esplanade Gardens! They were easy to work with from the very beginning and have made life so much better for both my mom and dad. When my mom had some health issues that necessitated her being in other facilities, my dad contemplated moving to the assisted living part of the other nursing home to be close to mom. But after staying there for two weeks he couldn't wait to "go home" to Esplanade. Unfortunately my mom passed shortly after that. Dad now continues to live at Esplanade Gardens and they continue to help him have the best quality of life possible. The staff there is loving, caring and take good care of their people. It truly is like being home.
I have been with Esplanade Gardens since Feb 2014. Recently, a Med Tech noticed I was having an elevated BP issue. Our RCD sent me to the ER. She then had me stay overnight in a guest room at EG for continued care. Fantastic staff. I am thankful for such caring colleagues to work with. Our residents receive the same care and compassion.
I moved in to Esplanade Gardens not knowing what to expect. It wasn't long before I met a couple of people. These people introduced me to various activities, and things to do here at the Gardens. I enjoy being here as the staff and residents are great. If anything is needed the staff are right here to help. It's a great place to live.
