Edit of my review after working in admin here for a year and a half from 2022-2024: This facility is run by a board of directors comprised of patrons of the church who know nothing about taking care of senior citizens. It seems their main goal is to save face and hide any fraud or unlawful activity performed by their church comrades, rather than take care of their residents and staff. Reports of fraud and conflict of interest go unaddressed by the board (whose president resigned Nov 2024). They ignore and retaliate against management concerns. I personally had my job threatened multiple times for bringing up legitimate business concerns, which included the facility not having a license. I ultimately quit as a result of the unethical position I was continually placed in. The board has historically employed unqualified directors/patrons of the church. The facility had a complete turnover of staff in 2023 and is looking to have it happen again at the end of 2024. They let the facility license lapse in August and September, 2023 due to the director not having her license, and they currently do not have a licensed director (Nov 2024), even though qualified candidates are available. The place has a lot of potential, if the church didn't get in the way. The priest of the church (who has allegations of neglect after not protecting students from sexual assault) should not be part of the decision making for the assisted living facility. The safety and welfare of the residents and staff should come first. My heart hurts for the staff and residents who are in a continual state of avoidable duress due to the board's disinterest in simply addressing and resolving business concerns. I have seen many targets placed on residents and staff, due to them raising concerns, and it's beyond unjust. I continue to hope the board will be replaced by a diversified group of individuals who have the best interest of residents and staff at heart. It is apparent the church has its talons in too deep.
Rachel has been extremely helpful in the moveing of our resident. She arranged the furniture and his belongings as he was moving into a smaller unit. She did a great job and took his needs and feelings into account of our resident.
My great gma spent a total of 7 years at Epiphany Assisted Living. It was a decent facility in my opinion until the pandemic hit and staffing issues became more prominent (especially on weekends). My great grandma suffered from neglect due to staff shortages. I can't count on one hand how many times I walked in on her sitting in her filth. She had bed sores and complained about pain on her back side until she passed. I would really like to see quality of care at this facility improve. The community is wonderful & the home overall is beautiful it's been a shame to watch Epiphany Assisted Living go down hill over the years.
My mom moved into the Pines this past November, she's comfortable, has made many friends and likes being able to attend mass. As a family we have been impressed with the staff and everyone is so friendly and kind! Definitely would recommend.
