No one wants to or ever thinks they will be writing a review for an assisted living home. At least I never did. Then I also never thought my mom would get dementia and need full-time care. My sweet mom spent about a year and a half in the loving hands of the team (family) here. They made her final journey, such a comfortable and loving and fun space for all of us to share. I can’t imagine the difficulty in their jobs, but so greatly appreciate the joy I see in their eyes and feel in their hearts. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. My family and I will forever hold you in our hearts. Just as you did with our sweet mama.

They are a very caring staff & do the very best they can, sometimes even short a staff member or more, which is not unusual these days in any LTC facility. My only complaint is that they do not have a receptionist that always answers the phone during business hours or any designated person in the office hours to do it. When people call in, for whatever reason, 9 times out of 10 no one answers & you have to leave a message about why you were calling. This can be frustrating if you need someone to check on your family member & you can't ask a staff member to help you. For example, my mother would call me at my home, many times for just little things she needed help with that a staff member could have taken care of in just a minute....like she was having trouble getting her hearing aid in or couldn't find her reading glasses... but because there is no designated staff person to answer the phone 100% of the time, I would leave a message & most times no one would call me back. I would have to drive there (20 miles round trip) to help her. That could be very frustrating. That is my main complaint but it is a very small facility & difficult sometimes, I'm sure, to care for everyone 's needs with a small staff. My mother has been there over 3 1/2 years &, all in all, we have been very happy with her care.
The transition to assisted living or memory care is so difficult for loved ones, what makes the difference is the people. The staff at Encore is phenomenal. The actives they plan and social events for their residents are top notch. Your loved one will be throughly cared for at Encore. They took amazing care of my Grandmother during her time here.
My grandma lives here and all of the staff are wonderful, kind and caring people who do their best to make sure all the residents are doing well. Lots of activities to keep everyone entertained/enriched/social.
Don’t pay bills on time, gas has been close to being cut off several times, Kitchen has plumbing back-up, owner worried about Money-in only, Doesn’t want to put any money into the building or fix the sidewalk in the front or anything else
