My family and I cannot say enough about the excellent long term memory care our mom has been receiving at Emerson H&R. Everyone that we come across is so kind, caring and thoughtful. The communication is also outstanding. They truly care about the health and well being of their residents The building and the rooms are well maintained, clean and welcoming too. My mom had been at 2 other facilities that were well below the Emerson’s high standard. We are extremely grateful to have found this wonderful place for her at a time when we needed it most.

My mother was a resident on 2-North at Emerson Health Care Center for close to 3 years. She peacefully passed in December, 2024. I was there all the time, and experienced first hand the excellent care that my mom received. I need to thank as well as mention both Flavia, the unit manager, and Rodney (both nurses) for their exemplary care. They were very attentive and supportive not only of my mom, but of me as well, and always kept me informed of any changes in her condition. The entire staff goes above and beyond, and treats the residents and their loved ones like family. If you’re reading this google review, you can feel confident that they’ll take great care of your loved one, just like they did for my mom. I highly recommend Emerson Health Care Center in Emerson, NJ.
The staff at Emerson Rehab Center are top knotch. Right from the start we knew this was the place we wanted out parent to be in for rehab. When we first met with Amy she explained everything completely about the facility going thru everything imaginable as well as answering all of our questions. A complete walk thru after hours was provided as we work during the days. After the walkthru and family discussion we elected to have our parent stay in the facility. After transport and getting him into a room we were immediately met by Nurse MacKenzie (amazing person, so mild mannered, understanding and patient) who went thru all of his paperwork and helped him settle in. One of the aides Ashley was a big part of getting our parent settled in the first night. She went over and above to make sure he was settled and had all he needed. MacKenzie checked in with us every day and answered all of our questions. After a few days we started to meet the staff. We cannot say enough good things about the staff. Chariot (ChaCha) one of the aides is absolutely amazing. She goes over and above to make the patients feel not only welcome but makes sure they have everything needed and gives special snacks as well as taking care of helping them in and out of bed etc all while making them feel welcome and not a burden. ChaCha has to be the kindness aid we have come across. The other nurses are Wendy, Rosemary and Pam. All are amazing. Wendy is the most compassionate and patient person, she made sure to fill us in on a daily basis on his progress and overall well being when we stopped by after work. Pam and Rosemary did the same and you don't lose a beat from one nurse to the next. They all confer with each other and know everything about the patients. As you can see we can't say enough good things about the staff. We are so grateful that we put our parent in the hands of this top knotch family owned facility with top knotch staff. Thank you for taking care of our parent ChaCha, MacKenzie, Wendy. Pam, Rosemary, Ashley and anyone we forgot.
My Mom came to Emerson rehab to get strong again after an illness. The staff are top notch, very helpful and knowledgeable. The PT and OT she received was excellent and made it possible for her to return home very quickly. We are so grateful for the care she received and highly recommend this facility.
I cannot express enough gratitude to the entire team at Emerson Rehab for the exceptional care they provided to my mother following her CABG/open-heart surgery. From the moment we arrived, everyone demonstrated incredible kindness, patience, and professionalism. A special thank you to Ms. Priya, the amazing physical therapist, and Ms. Lisette, the outstanding occupational therapist. Their dedication, expertise, and encouragement played a huge role in my mother’s recovery. They went above and beyond to ensure she regained her strength and independence. I am also deeply thankful to Ms. Merly, the Director of Rehab, for her leadership and for fostering such a compassionate and skilled team. Her support and attention to detail made a world of difference in our experience. Lastly, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the nurses, aides, and staff members at Emerson who were always patient, kind, and attentive. You treated my mother with dignity and care, and it truly meant the world to our family. Thank you, Emerson Rehab, for being there during one of the most challenging times of our lives.
