If I could give Emerge zero stars, I would. My experience here has been absolutely *devastating*. My mother was admitted after a stroke, and from the very beginning, we were met with negligence, disrespect, and a complete lack of compassion. The staff failed to check her blood sugar for over a *week*, despite multiple conversations with nurses, physician assistants, and other staff. Her safety was constantly at risk—she even fell while in their care and was silenced from telling her side of the story. The facility felt more like a warehouse than a place for healing. Requests for basic care were ignored or delayed. We had to *beg* for things as simple as a change of clothes, clean bedding, or consistent hygiene support. Staff communication was poor to nonexistent. Worse yet, when we brought up our concerns, we were dismissed or treated rudely—as if advocating for my mother was an inconvenience. No one should ever feel helpless or afraid when their loved one is in a care facility. Unfortunately, that’s exactly how Emerge made me and my family feel every single day. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If you love your family member, *look elsewhere*. They deserve better than what Emerge has to offer.

I have had two family members stay at Emerge at different times which affords me a great deal of familiarity with both the facility and the staff. While it's important to be your family members advocate, the staff for the most part are both caring, considerate, and respectful of each guests situation and daily needs. It's is very clean, and bright and the building maintenance dept keep up with daily repairs and such. The Physical Therapists are friendly and encouraging and the bakery/solarium is a wonderful spot to host visitors and just relax without being in the guests room. Not to mention delicious fresh baked goodies and amazing coffee. Emerge strives to make the environment feel more like home and less like a facility.
My mom has been at emerge since February. The recreation team has been amazing. Juliana, Edna, Rebecca, and Destiny are great. They go out of their way to invite her and bring her down. She went from shy to everyday activities and looks forward to them daily. Connie and the staff in rehab are awesome and very helpful. The nurses (Sedrick and Matthew) are so kind. My mom says how she doesn’t want to leave here. She is having such a great time with Rehab and Recreation.
I saw Emerge representing at the Huntington pride event! So glad to see some representation from them, a couple of my family members have been placed in their care. Not only have they shown exceptional care to my loved ones, but they continue to amaze me with how much they’re willing to go above and beyond for the community. Absolutely Amazing!
I have been at Emerge for a long time. I am thankful for a lot; especially the recreation. The recreation here is creative and fun. The staff are great. Recreation will entertain me in my free time and we have wonderful musicians that come here.
