Staff can sometimes have an attitude, especially if you question the care given. Some staff were ok. Personal items disappeared, including most of my father's clothing. Twice, I visited and found him sitting in a wheelchair, in the common/dining room area with just his shirt and an adult diaper on. Staff claimed he was down to 1 pair of pants and that they were in the laundry, even though he arrived with at least 5 pairs. When he was transferred to hospice, on the same floor, we wet his mouth with an oral sponge and the old pureed food contents we pulled out made us gag. To make things worse, the CNA, that was assigned to him on the day before he passed, had an unacceptable attitude for anyone who is in the care business. Any request was such a bother to her. She treated us with such disrespect, which is unacceptable anytime, but especially amplified when a family is already going through a very hard time losing a loved one. My fathers gone now and my wish, on his behalf, is that the CNA finds a different job, so that others needing advanced care will have a better experience.

I visited my mom today in memory care. Eve was working as the CMT. She is always great at communicating with family members and so helpful. Eve has a great attitude and I appreciate all she does for my mom and the other residents. Felicia was also working today, as a CNA. Felicia is a very hard worker, so sweet and very helpful to the residents. Eve and Felicia both go above and beyond. I’m thankful for both of them.
Ellisville Rehab and Nursing absolutely stunned me when I first saw it and went inside. It looks nothing like any other rehab that I've seen. Beautiful exterior and looks like a luxury hotel on the inside. The only thing that gives it away is the nurses desk on the floor. Even the patients rooms are decorated with their own belongings. Very homey. Just to let you know, when you enter to visit you are required to sign in on a computer. The same when you leave. They believe in the safety of their residents. I feel very confident that my friend who resides there is getting the best of care.
The nurses are great Ms Betty Lori Monty Ashley Whitney Tatiana Donna st the front desk and the Wonderful lady who gave me a vending machine dollar for a bag of M&M. Peanuts . So far I am very pleased with the staff
I witnessed interactions between the staff and residents on the Hawthorne Unit. Playing a game, passing out snacks. They acknowledged each resident by name. Some aides brought some residents that were in there rooms, even if just for five minutes to be in the middle of the energy. I sat with my mom and helped her drink an orange boost. They realized she didn’t like the other flavors. I appreciate their thoughtfulness.
