2970 St Johns Ln, Ellicott City, MD 21042, United States
The care my father received at Ellicott City Assisted Living on St. John’s Lane was amazing. The owners Pam & Scott always were helpful and went out of their way for everyone. They made everything so easy. The staff here- Adel, Che and Jack are special people and we now consider them part of our family. They cook all the meals and all the residents sit together at the dining room table like family. When it’s someone’s birthday, they go out of their way to make it special. Pam even cooks holiday meals for everyone. It was so comfortable for my father, I never worried. My father felt right at home and was given the best care. The house was very clean inside and I always visited around lunch time so I could see and smell Adel’s home cooking. She even shared lunch with me on many occasions. I wish I would have known about Pam & Scott’s place earlier. I highly recommend this assisted living for anyone that wants the best care.

My mother-in-law was a resident of Ellicott City Assisted Living (ECAL) for the last 17 months of her life. We were so pleased with the care she received, we moved my mom to ECAL too and they helped us with her end of life care. With our first visit to ECAL, we felt we had found the home and setting we were looking for. It was clean and bright and easy for the residents to navigate and had a lovely patio to enjoy the weather on pretty days. What ultimately made us happiest was the personal care and attention both our moms received. They helped us all with the transition from home to assisted living care. We found the owners, Pam and Scott, and all the staff but especially Adele, treated them like beloved family members. My mother-in-law would enjoy getting out but would perk up when she was heading back - a true measure of how happy she was in her new home. Communication was excellent. Our visits were always welcomed and we enjoyed our time getting to know the other residents and their families. We were impressed with the care and attention all the residents with very different needs received. It’s never easy to turn the care of a loved one over to someone else but we are comforted knowing our moms received loving care in a home setting. We are very thankful to have found Pam, Scott, Adele and all the staff of ECAL. They will always be a part of our family too!
The staff at Ellicott City Assisted took very good care of my father. The owners would go out of their way to talk with him. When they found out he loved pizza they added it to their menu The owner even went out and bought him sugar free ice cream so as a diabetic he could have some ice cream too The staff took him outside where he could sit on the patio and see some birds and deer. It is a very caring place. They also made holidays and birthdays special days Communication with the family was excellent
My Mom was a resident at Ellicott City Assisted Living (ECAL) for the last 18 months of her life. In that time, ECAL became her home in the true sense of the word. The home was staffed with the consistent staff that could provide continuity of care. The staff became friends with residents and their family members. It was like going to “Mom’s” house, only a different address. The environment was ideal for her. Beautiful home and grounds. It’s impossible for me to overstate the warmth, love and care she received. There was no shortage of hugs, hand holding, singing and smiling. Each meal was homemade and served at the dining room table with all residents who were able. All holidays were celebrated. Christmas, Thanksgiving with traditional meals and decorations. Ever birthday was celebrated by all. It was pleasant visiting Mom because you had the opportunity to know other residents and their family if you choose. My sorrow in losing my Mom is eased knowing that her last days were spent at ECAL. They hold a special place in my heart. I will forever be grateful.
I was very happy with the care that the team provided my husband. The attention they gave to home was just what we needed. I enjoyed visitng him and the home daily.
