Absolutely Disgusted and Heartbroken I am beyond disappointed with the care and unethical practices at this facility. My 83-year-old aunt, who has dementia, was placed here for rehabilitation, and what we experienced was nothing short of a nightmare. The living conditions are inhumane, staff members are neglectful, and there is a blatant disregard for the well-being of residents. To make matters worse, I discovered that my signature was forged on official documents without my consent, allowing the facility to illegally obtain payments and attempt to access my aunt’s Social Security benefits—despite her still being covered under insurance. Even after reporting this to both the police department and the facility’s director, no action was taken. Not only did i endure this I witnessed a nurse striking a resident right in front of me. The way this facility operates is unacceptable, and no family should have to endure the stress, mistreatment, and financial exploitation we have faced. I strongly advise anyone considering placing their loved one here to look elsewhere. This place must be held accountable for its actions.

Today, my experience was good!!! I was greeted by a young lady with a very cheerful personality….I also met the nurse who was helping care for my family member whom was also nice…..as I left, there was a different person at the front desk, but she too was pleasant….the facility smelled clean and looked good….it is very important to have a good looking and clean facility with nice people working there, because these components along with the mental and physical cooperation of the patients/clients helps in the healing process…I liked that he didn’t have to share his space with anyone else…...we were able to have a good visit without interruption or disturbing anyone ….my family member had a complaint…..he said if he buzzes for a nurse, it takes them a very long time to respond….other than that, very good
This facility has the best therapy group (PT, OT, speech) and wound care team I have come across dealing with long term care facilities as an RN and now as a family member of a resident. My family members strength, mobility, and mental acuity was brought back to how he was previously before hospitalization. His wounds (admitted) were properly treated and healed in no time at all. I admit my visits are not always perfectly pleasant dealing with some of the nursing staff but overall the good staffers outweigh the not so good ones. My complaints are heard and dealt with quickly and professionally. It is not easy to feel comfortable leaving a family member in these facilities but there is a level of peace knowing that our concerns are heard when we voice them out, and that there are still people who actually care about their clients. Shout out to the staffers who make this experience bearable: Admissions Coordinators Travis and Danita who made sure we are being taken cared of. Miss BC - ADON who had been so receptive of complaints and actually works to correct them. Nurses Diana, Shay, Jennifer, Debra whose caring hearts are a blessing CNAs Ericka and Faith - they do their best even during their bussiest days Therapists Anthony, Mael, Tammy, and Kelly - you are all awesome. Kezie from the business office who patiently explained to me the business aspect of my family member’s stay The wound care team whose names I missed to ask… you are likewise awesome. I may have missed some but I am truly thankful for you all! God bless!
I am extremely pleased with the care my brother is receiving since being here. The interdisciplinary team has consistently reached out to me with updates, concerns and questions. Everyone has made themselves available to my family for any questions we may have. They’ve transported my brother to all his appointments. The nursing staff has been responsive. The facility is clean every time I visit. I am thoroughly impressed and pleased with this facility.
I had an amazing experience at Elevated Care South Holland. The care , compassion , respect that the staff treat their patients and visitors is the best that I seen in a lot of other facilities. Thank you for service.
